My fiance and I were approved for a K1 visa on Dec. 19th and he paid for the DHL delivery and left his passport with DHL same day at the Embassy (Jamaica). We have been waiting for the visa since. He received a call yesterday asking him to come in for another set of fingerprints today. Has anyone experienced this? What does it mean?

Love is a gift and not to be earned, therefore one should never hold any regrets for giving love regardless of the outcome...

Most likely, the original fingerprint samples were not clear enough to process. Were the fingerprints sampled with ink to paper or through an optical reader?

Either way, this is not an unreasonable request, but an unfortunate delay.
