Salam Dear friends

I also called department of States on 7th January 2009 and a lady told me that my visa has been issued..It was a shocking and exciting news for me...however to confirm it i recalled after some 20 minutes as she did not tell me that when did they issue....however i recalled DOS and this time i got a male operator and he told me in more detail that my visa has been issued and printed on 15 of December 2008 (his wordings)......and told me to contact embassy....the next day i sent an email to US embassy islamabad but i could not get a reply so for ...then i called embassy the same day and a lady told me that she would check my case and then will call me back...but she did not call me back....i called yesterday again to embassy and this time again i got lady operator and she told that she would talk to her supervisor about my case and would call me back....but she also did not call me back...Now i am really much confused that would to do in this situation..

i was interviewed fort he k3 visa on 06 Feb, 2007 and was in AP for the last almost 2 years...

....Qestion:...i am surprised at one thing that my medical report has already expired then how can they print it with out requesting from me the new one..?..

but the next moment i answer it in this way that may b they just tell me to come and submit report and take ur visa ...

So dont know whats going and how much more time they will take to send it to me...

Ur precious suggestions will be of great help to decrease my tension and will be appreciated..

Thanks..with best regards...Shah

It may be a good idea to send emails instead of calling, that way you have evidence that you've contacted the embassy regarding the visa issuance. In our case, we actually got responses from our emails and nothing from phone calls. At the very least, you will get an automated email that states your query is being processed.

Depending on the embassy, it does take anywhere from a couple of days to a few weeks until they actually send your passport with the visa. I wouldn't be surprised that, given the holidays, they are a bit backed up. I'd recommend patience, for now. If you still don't have your visa at the end of Jan, you may want to contact your congressman.

Congrats! I hope you get it figured out soon. If you don't mind, could you let us all know when you were put into AP (interview date), so we know how long your AP lasted? Thanks!

hi friends

The embassy seems to be in really hurry now as they called me unexpectedly this morning at about 8:0 AM(office time starts at about 9 am) to send new medical and police report....

I was interviewed for the K3 visa Feb 06, 2007 at the US embassy Islamabad and they told me that it will take 45 days for the embassy to contact me back after Additional admin processing..........but surprisingly it took about 2 years for them to contact me back in this regards....but Still the credit goes to Department of States who gave me the first information that the visa has been approved and after calling 3 times to embassy the embassy accepted that YES it has been approved.....and this morning they called me to send them medical and police report as the one i submitted at interview has already expired.....So now i am running for new medical and Police report.....at any stage now i dont jump and dont get really excited for any information they give me till i get the passport with visa stamped on it in real....Pray for me friend to cross this last step too easily and they finally send me the visa.....Wish u all to a really quick processing and happy life....take care...and keep in touch..

myprayers,

Congratulations and know that you are excited and yet will not celebrate until you have your visa in hand. Here is to hoping that you get the reports back to them quickly and that your visa is in hand shortly. I will continue to remember you in my prayers.
