I will not recommened it yet due to the facts that you will need the NOA2, also known as Notice of Approval or you have been APPROVED. You can ptrepare it and send it as soon as you get the hard copy of your NOA2

I would also wait for your P3!

Get everything ready, and as soon as you received it, you can send everything the same or next day!

Don't worry, after getting your NOA2, things are moving so much faster! ;)

Good luck on the rest of your journey!

Wait until at lease the embassy have told you P3 has been sent out. You still have to go though NVC and there are sometimes hold ups there.

I did, but that was based on knowing that everything had been received at the Embassy, and the pkt3 would be sent within a few days.

I was going to US for 3weeks and wanted to get everything in before i went.

Not recommended and it was a big risk take in case there was any issues.

mbc from K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures General Discussion to The Foreign Embassy and Consulate General Discussion

reason: Topics relating to I-134's, packets sent from consulate and medical & police certificates should be posted

here

for the op - you might want to ask in this thread as i believe some did send the packet 3 to the rio consulate before it was actually sent to the beneficiary.

The giddiness of our NOA2 may have impaired my reading skills... is it possible to send in package 3 before you get it?

Thanks.

Yes, you can. If you look at our time line you will see. My wife (fiancee at the time) mailed it once we had the NVC number and knew that our case arrived at the US Embassy in Rio.

Getting the NVC number was easy, but tracking the mailing from NVC to US Embassy was tricky. At the time there was a thread on VJ about using DHL and figuring tracking numbers out.

We used it and it worked. Once the Embassy has your NVC case and your Packet 3, you can contact them to get your interview date.

Good luck!

Our Story so far...
