Our packet 3 has been delivered! Does anyone know how we check that they have recieved it and when we get an interview date? I saw some mentions of the DOS?? What is that? Thanks!

You can call the Embassy (£1.20per min) to check it has been rec'd, takes them a few days to log them onto the system, but they can then tell you if they have all the forms they need.

or

You can call DOS (Department of State) 001 202 663 1225, option 1, option 0 gets you through to a live person. they can tell you if it has been rec'd and if all forms OK.

Keep being quoted 6weeks from receipt to interview date though.

I checked my status today and it finally said that my item was" delivered from our WEST LONDON Delivery Office on 14/01/09" . I can breath now, as our expiration date is tomorrow. I hope God is on our side and helps us get an interview date soon since we put the tentative leaving date of Feb 20th.

i called DOS last night and was told interview has been scheduled.

Pkt3 was loaded on their system as complete 5th Jan pending interview, so the 6weeks they quote is twaddle!

you should call.. they told me we didnt send the checklist - even though it was on the top of the forms! so i'm sending another tomorrow... make sure they didn't lose anything...

Well I just off the phone with DOS, they dont have it in their system that we sent back packet 3. That worries me a bit because Zoe they were able to tell you someting about your case and we sent it our packet about 1 week before you did. My mind is now boggled because our expiration date just passed. The last thing they have in their system was that they sent us packet 3 in Oct, that was lost and we had to request a new one. We finally got packet 3 mid Dec and sent it back as soon as we could. Any suggetions any one?

I just called dos and they dont have mine on the system yet and the post office confirmed it was delivered last Friday, but my mate marmite whos packet was delivered on Monday well hers is on the system jammy cow, and she used my phone to call !!!!!

I just called DOS (at Sharon's)....

They have my case and said the embassy will be writing to me soon with an interview date -- YAY! About time I had some luck!

Don't be discouraged. I used to call DOS same time each day. Even started to recognize some of their voices!!!
