Well, it now seems that we won't be getting a 2 day reprieve from the rain. I just heard that they second storm has now moved right behind the current one. To make matters worse, Ventura County, Calabasas, Westlake Village, La Cañada have been issued flash flooding warnings with rainfall up to 1 inch per hour in some places. Fun.

Here we had a snow storm on Christmas Eve followed by tornadoes on New Years Eve. Gotta love living in the Midwest. It's a beautiful sunny day now.

I find it funny that they call it "Storm Watch" on the news... lol it is just rain

I know! They called it that where I lived in Florida.... even if there wasn't a storm. Here they call it "Extreme Weather". I was suckered in, again, thinking there was something coming. Why can't they just call it "The Weather"?

Oh oh. One of the big limbs on a tree in our yard just broke. I felt really bad earlier. There was a bird trying to get some feed in the feeder but it was frozen inside.

It's headed our way! We had 4 inches this morning and should wake up to another 4 - 8 by tomorrow.

Our trees look like the pic in my signature! Looking forward to seeing how much we end up getting. I am beginning to think there is a connection between the snow and my husband's business trips.

That's exactly what it looks like here in central NJ this morning. Very pretty and peaceful; schools are closed and our typically busy street is nice and quiet for a change.

Wow. 12 inches. It looks like we got about 6. I grew up on the imperial measurement system. My children on metric. I remember, one time, when my daughter was little, she asked me the measurement of something. I said "It's about one inch." My daughter said "Oh." Then . And then she said "Mommy? What is an inch?" She'd never even heard the word.

I saw the guy across the street trying to shovel this morning. He was labouring really hard and has now given up and gone in. It looks really heavy. I am not looking forward to going out there.

I saw on the news how horrible it was for people trying to get home yesterday. I was glad that my husband was out of town so I didn't have to worry about that.

Just in from nearly 3 hrs shoveling!! Whewwww Yep is a nice heavy snow!! I could strangle some of the idiots in our condo unit--instead of shoviling the snow on the road--where it would melt--or to the edge (out of the way----- no--lets pile it up in an empty spot making it un-usable!!! morons!!
