The great plains... ie Nebraska just got another 4 inches of snow.....on top of the foot that we already have on the ground....

I would so take a thunderstorm & rain over digging out my car from snow...... AGAIN!!!!!

Its snowing like nobody's business up here. I never worry about snow in Toronto but I am in Maryland just cause nobody knows how to drive and everyone goes crazy about toilet paper. However, businesses have closed so hubby and I are both home, which is really nice :D

We are supposed to get as much as 2 feet of snow just for today and tomorrow, and much more next week... :( Ah well, here is to cardio-shovelling...

Finally married... and still married... ;)

It's raining right now...but has gotten up to around 13 degrees Celsius with sunshine in recent days. Robins have been out and buds have been popping up on some trees. It's quite Spring-like, which doesn't exactly cry out "Winter Olympics", does it?

:crying: More snow! Another 4 inches! I guess nothing compared to what the east coast is getting right now. Im so sick of digging my car out!!!

What the east coast is getting is a culumination of 3 storms that we have had already since December that combined gave us about 3 ft of snow!

We finally have a sunny day. Don't know yet about the temperature although I think the forecast said it would get up into the 50s. When I went out to feed the feral cats this morning at 7 there was still ice on their water and frost on the ground so it was obviously below freezing. We have been having rain, rain, rain, rain, rain for it seems like forever! The ground is so saturated with water that there is no place for it to run off - it squelches in our yard and there is open pools lying on the lawn. Trees are coming down all over the area because the soil is so saturated it doesn't have the strength to hold their roots. This has been the weirdest winter weather - much more like Southern Ontario than the Southern States - this year. (And I am sick again with the 3rd cold in 4 months - I go years without a cold and this year I just keep getting one after another after another - I am sure it must be weather related! :D )

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Its funny how fickle the weather can be. Wes's weekends are Friday and Saturday and all it did was rain, today though its sunny and 57. No wonder he doesn't want to goto work today

My husband used to live in Western Maryland. It was crazy driving whenever they had a snowstorm.

Who has pics of the mid-Atlantic snow??
