Tornados touched down in Toronto last night... It was really scary. I was at a restaurant with some old co-workers of mine and the power went out, it was pitch black I guess they had no generator. The thunder was literally shaking the building and the lightning I had never seen so frequent and large before. The sky went so dark and purple and I saw no funnel clouds myself, but some trees got snapped in half and many homes destroyed in the Vaughn north of Toronto area. I never saw a storm this bad in my life!

It's NICE here today! Lows in the 50s and highs in the 70s. I still like it better in autumn---when the HIGHS are in the upper 50s (yes, I know, I really am a bit sick and twisted)--but for August, this is fantastic!

Was wondering if the people in Florida were affected by Claudette.

IT'S GONE RAIN (in an Ollie Williams voice from Family Guy). It's like 20C here today in Sudbury, and going to rain.

Where my fiance lives has no power, I know that for sure, since him and his co-workers aren't on aim anymore. He lives in Lancaster PA

Our power went out twice last night - however it was because we had our portable airconditioner in the living room and it overloaded the lines

Yes it was too warm in here yesterday - but cool enough to sleep without an airconditioner last night.

Today, sunny and clear, right now it is 18c (64F) - lovely! However it is supposed to go up to 30 today, so the airconditioner will be in use again!

I hate when that happens! I can't have my AC unit and my microwave going at the same time or a blow a fuse, yes a fuse, my place is that old. So I have to be real careful cause I don't keep extra fuses on hand.
