OK, so we're in February - less than two months to go!!! Although to be honest, I'm as ready as I'm ever gonna be. If it weren't for the damn money thing I'd leave tomorrow.

All I have to do is chuck stuff in a suitcase, and I'm ready to go. I'm not shpping anything over: if I can't carry it, it stays here!! And as for the weather?? Oh yeah, it's snowing over here alright! It's like the North Pole out there!

I took the no shipping option too (well for now). All my big stuff - furniture and furnishings ect is squatting at my parents' house and I just brought stuff over in suitcases.

Coming back to the UK with my husband tomorrow for a visit (travel permitting) and we are both bringing two empty suitcases over to bring back more of my things.

I know! After dealing with snow over here for 2 weeks I thought I was going to get away from it. Am flying into Manchester which is better than London at the moment. But then need to get a train down to London later in the week - hope it's all melted by then!

It might be better there at the moment but it is heading that way

I would think that things will be back to normal by the end of the week as the snow is supposed to turn to rain

Thank god the snow is stopping now, I am aleady panicing about trying to get into work again tomorrow, hope the boss keeps the office closed

OH geez I wish I did! The courier picked it up on Friday, but due to the weather up and down the country it was not delivered until yesterday. I called DOS to see if they had it and they said it hadn't yet from what they can see and to keep calling on a weeky basis! Yeah right! I then called the courier company and they are closed today - due to guess what.... :bonk:
