Hi everyone! Its great to see a good number of January Filers approved! Just a quick question... If my fiance lived in the U.S. for 18 months, does she need a police certificate from here? From what I understand, I don't think she does but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks! Best of luck to everyone.

I had been wondering about the same thing, as I have lived in the US for almost six years. You don't need a US police certificate, because they do the background checks themselves. Here is the info from the State Department: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/ty...es_1308.html#pc

Seems to have been a great day at VSC yesterday, tons of approvals! Regarding the chronological leaps in the sequence of approvals: seems as if the people who filed on the same day tend to end up in the same adjudicator's box, and then get approved together. This could be the explanation for why a whole bunch of people who filed on January 25/26 are already approved, while those who filed January 13/14 or 21-23, for instance, are still waiting. One adjucator being further along in their work than the other. I will only get nervous when my fellow January 14 filers start moving ahead of me... (Although it could always be that our petition simply happens to be in a different box from that of the simultaneous filers who happen to be listed on VJ).

Wow, seems yesterday was a great day at VSC!!! 8 approvals!

Those still waiting for NOA2, has anyone had any "touches"?? We haven't had anyone looking at our case since Jan 26. But maybe that's normal? Maybe they'll only look at it right before they approve it??

Congrats to everyone that got their approvals! Hoping VSC will keep up the good work and the rest of us will get our good news soon! :)

Has anyone else filed in at the VSC in January and to date have nothing at all happen with your petition? I have seen where some petitions have been filed and the petitioner has received NOA2 already. So far, our petition has not been touched at all!!! I am really frustrated since we filed in January and have not heard a single word yet! :crying:

I wish I could answer this question! But I can't since our case has never been visible on the web site!!!!! My opinion is that the website is worthless and we are all in the dark as to when we will get approved :)
