Yes I saw that on the news...........the child is considered a canadian resident since they were in canadian airspace. We've been extremely busy at my work this past week.......everyone trying to have their babies to get that tax deduction......lol.

Sorry to hear ur not feeling well. My husband has that same cold right now and he sounds awful. I hate it when he's sick! Drink lots of hot tea & vicks does wonders for ur nose......

Wow

I think the holidays have most on vacation and movin a little slower these last couple weeks.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!

Hubby and I had a nice New Year's Eve at home, watched the ball drop, banged a little pots and pans.

Does anyone else do that anymore? In Philadelphia is very traditional.

New Year's Day we went to a nice MiddleEastern restaurant for some Schwarma and middle eastern combo (love those salads!)

Saw a little of the Mummer's Parade too!

HUBBY GOT A JOB! He started last night. He works for my ex-employer now...thank god for contacts and a good reputation. I know it is quite an adjustment for him but I am so proud and I hope for the first time in his life he can feel good about being independent and living in a country where you really can prosper

I am at work.

Have a good day everyone and TGIF.....it seems like it is always the weekend anymore :D

congrats on hubby's new job!!!! I've been trying to get mine into my company since he landed here but they're very picky apparently.

We saw Valkerie last night and it rocked! I love Tom Cruise!!!

My husband declared yesterday that he loves Eddie Bauer. That's his store now. It's so funny! We went there before the movie and he was in heaven! lol.

Hope you feel better Turia

thanks for the congrats...when I dropped him off to work last night I felt like I was taking my small child

to school for the first day :luv:

It is such a relief too. To have additional income after all these years and to see him finally being

productive. I said it doesnt matter what you get at first, as long as you can establish some sort of

work history. We all know how hard it is for AMERICANS to get a new job and even keep their old one.

HE IS BLESSED. And I was thrilled that he doesnt have to do something demeaning and for too low pay.

We havent spent any time apart, except for me working, so I didnt know what to do with myself actually

being alone

THANK GOD, HE HAS BEEN SO GOOD.

GOOD LUCK TO THE REST OF YOU IN 2009.

Rajaa...I dont know what has become of me in this last year...I never want to do anything but just

be home and lay around....I forget...is that what marriage does to a woman??? LOL
