Last update at VSC was dated November 18, 2008 with an "as of" date of September 30, 2008 displaying a Processing Timeframe for K3 I-129F date of March 7!

What the .....? Today is December 31, 2008!

A CSC K3 received the NOA2 today who filed August 2008! Did VSC fall of the face of the Earth?!

Not to begrude anyones happiness at all but if your not outraged - your not paying attention.

May the New Year bring NOA2's fast & furious for all us.

If it helps you take it easy for a while, my petition was approved on 12/29/08 for NOA1 of I130 date 4/7/08. That is about 8 months and change. I have written over 11 letters to senators and congressman, but still it took a while to get NOA2 from VSC. Good Luck and Happy New Year.

I don't think it hurts if you have both filed. My immigration attorney said in his recent experience he has seen the k-3's get approved first

There does't seem to be any specific rhyme or reason to how they process the petitions

I called the congress womans office AGAIN today and asked them to find out why the June, July and August transfers are getting approvals before the VSC leftovers are being approved. He seemed annoyed with me but I didn't care. He told me he can request that my file be transferred to CSC but he didn't recommend it.

I'M SO FRUSTRATED.

Not only do I miss my husband but it is really creating a financial hardship for my family with him not being here. I wanted to fly down to Costa Rica at the end of January but it doesn't look like I will be able to afford it. :crying::ranting:

I'm not comparing my situation to yours, but last month I made a $7000 payment on my credit card. I looked back at my online payment history...$60,000 to my continental mastercard this year!!! Because I visit my husband every other month. Not to mention having to get a whole wardrobe, toiletries, etc to keep in my apartment in Amsterdam. Even things like pots and pans...they all add up when you have to live a freakin double life!!! I feel sorry for those who are struggling making 2 rent payments or 2 mortgage payments, when they could be living together and saving that money for their future!!!

Thanks to VSC and USCIS!!!

THANK YOU!!!! I thought I was the only one wondering what the ????? happend to VSC :wow: - I see alot of K3's coming out of CSC.. but none out of VSC, I am thinking about moving back to Cali just so they can process my paper work  Resepct & Blessings to all for 09

It would have literally been faster for me, if I moved to Cali, established residence, and did our papers and finished... than what I've been waiting for this NOA2!!!!

Only $60,000? You're cheap!

 that's only on my one credit card darling! If I told you what I spent in total you wouldn't believe me anyway!

OMG $60,000 I don't know but for me, that is a lot. I understand I felt like I was having to dip into all of my credit cards to live the life I wanted there. Its not easy having to come up with everything else. You're right besides the big price of the tickets, little things add up.

Phone cards completely suck.

I hope that we all bet approved sooner so that our SO's can be here sooner.

Hey! Girl, I do not know why I ever listened to my lawyer! UGH!~ K3 is for the pits. If I had not used a lawyer I would have June or July NOA1. I really want to beat myself up! I really should have trusted my own instincts on this. But with USCIS it like flipping a coin, you never know what is the right venue to take! Girl there is no update on my end. No life has touched my case since August! I am totally p***** off! I mean what the h*** did they do? Why are they not looking at my d*** packet did they lose it or something! I will be even more angry if I find out they did! I sent a whopper of information and pics with my packet! Watch me still get an RFE! LOL I tell you I will kind of miss yelling here and venting on VJ when I finally do get my NOA2. "IF" that day ever comes! Who knows maybe it is only a year away!?!?

You seem to be feeling the same thing that we are. I am not sure what is going on in Vermont and why USCIS can't seem to update their processing times as of late. Their page is so very confusing too with the way they date everything, as you stated. They need to say where they are as of now, not one or two months ago. I feel that I am relatively intelligent, but that site is can be so confusing sometimes. It is leaving us feeling so helpless and we have been waiting so long. I hope that everything works out and they can at least update the times soon. Everything seems to have stopped there with the holidays, but hopefully it will pick back up now... they even had today off as a holiday... hope it is the last!

I WISH I HAD FILED 1-130 STAND ALONE!

I've been thinking the exact same thing lately. At first I was thinking it was because of where my SO is from (Nigeria), but I have a friend who is married to one of my SO's friends and she got her approval in 3 months from the time she filed the I130. She was at the CSC, not VSC. Obviously that IS the problem!! What the hell do they do all damn day everyday?? How can it be soooo different from one place to the next?? I just don't get it??

Yes, I was thinking it was b/c he was from Pakistan too but it is not that. It is b/c VSC is slow and CSC is fast at processing petitions. I am getting furious! I do not know all I ask is that they pick up my file and touch atleast once these next few weeks. Others have gotten touched in October who filed when I did and I have not been touched at all. It makes me feel my petition was lost or something! Ugh! I'm totally heated! I think if I had filed the I-130 stand alone I would already have been transferred to CSC and well on my way to getting my NOA2. I wish I had never heard of the stupid K3 visa, it is useless and a waste of time. It is like a curse! I hate this process and I wish it upon nobody to have to be separated from their loved one for such a long and agonizing time. My parents are old and sick and they want to meet my spouse and they can't even guarantee that will happen. I mean nothing in life is guaranteed but atleast they should have some hope. At this point there seems to be little hope and this is simply unfair! Why is it that CSC is so fast and VSC is so slow? Why are K1's so fast and K3's are so slow? We have already committed to our spouses and we have also in many cases started familes. This is not fair to separate married couples for so long. Life is short and we are missing out on the prime of our lives with our spouses. This alone is very disheartening and ticks me off to the max! I am so angry I could explode. Wanting to kick myself daily for applying for the K3! *Screams*

:crying: I feel everyone's pain. I know I haven't been waiting near as long as any of you, but it sucks really bad when your husband is over 6000 miles away and you can only see him by webcam. I called USCIS right after Christmas and the woman told me they are "supposed" to update the processing times on the 19th of every month. I said, "It hasn't been updated since November 18th with an as of date of Sept. 30th!" She said "I know they are behind and they should have it updated by the end of the year." Hello...its Jan. 5th for crying out loud. Throw us a bone here VSC!! Props to all those who are pushing the credit card limits and visiting their spouses. I only wish I was that lucky. Plane tickets to Jordan right now are running $1600...needless to say I can't afford that very often and I cannot take unpaid time from work because I wouldn't be able to pay bills here in the USA! You would think the government would be keen to the needs of its people and make this process much faster. I mean...seriously...how about boosting the economy by investing some money in hiring more people to process faster. Heck, I just read that they opened a $594 million US embassy in Baghdad. you think they would have saved a few pennies and helped people here get their spouses over!! When will the madness end? :crying:

I spent Friday and Saturday moaning and groaning to my attorney. He is drafting a letter for me. We are trying to get our petition expedited. I spent days researching this whole process. Since I need to file an I-601 in Costa Rica, my process will be a little longer than I thought. the waiver is sent to Honduras for approval. UGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

I really don't understand VSC.

My husband asked me when I am coming back to Costa Rica....I am having a hard time financially right now so I don't know. Even though the plane ticket is only $300.00. I have to consider the unpaid time off from work.

I was hoping to get an approval so I could estimate when he might have his interview so I could be there.

This is a new Year and a new week at VSC. Hopefully they are all at work today with piles of files to approve. CROSS YOUR FINGERS. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE.

Hey guys,

I can totally feel your frustration! We are K1 but our case wasn't touched ever since July 10. What the h***?!!?! They start approving Sep now and here we are...waiting. Infopass people told us everything is ok, not hung up in security, noone just looked at it yet. Great! They said we got assigned to an officer November 13 but I honestly start doubting that. I mean...we have January now!

Hang in there. I know for K3 it is even tougher especially for those of you that have kids. Being away from the one you love is horrible enough, but having to wait without knowing when this will be over and accumulating more and more expenses because of being apart is even worse!
