Good morning!

HIt the gym again. I will be fasting for 24 hours tonight at 7pm till service tomorrow at 7pm. I need a clensing.

Can;t do the carrot juice thing though.

I found pounded yam and palm oil yesterday at a local african market.

Had carrot & celery juice this morning. Also did another round with Billy Blanks Tae-Bo. I have discovered new places of pain!

LOL!

I actually had the Basic and Advanced Tae-Bo tapes and gave them to the local thrift store a few years ago.

On Sunday I bought them both - from the thrift store, plus 2 others! My sons friend is also selling me 5 DVDs of Billy Blanks Boot Camp.

My goal is to be down 40 pounds when I next see my husband. He loves me the way I am, but a comment from the woman who cooked for us the last time I was there won't leave the forefront of my mind. She was looking at my family photos and said, "Oh, your mom isn't fat like you." OUCH! I know she wasn't meaning to be hurtful but wow that stung! Anyways, I know slow and steady wins the race so 5 pounds a month is my goal.

No she didn't mean it like if it was said in the us. Actually it is believed the heavier you are the richer you are. They do not think it is an insult to say you are fat or big.

You can do it. I watched Operah last night regarding the blue zones and how these people live healthy lives till over 100. It was an eye opening experience. Made me decide to chance some things..might even do the carrot drink. *wink

I have had 3 aunts live to over 100 ( actually great or great great aunts ) None of them worried about eating healthy but all were active people. My mother passed at 91 and her sisters are now 93 and 89. They love their bugers and ice cream and bacon and eggs.

Not the men are terribly short lived. My father died at 51 of a massive heart attack , he had stayed home from church to care for me as a 5 yo with the flu. My brother died as a toddler from injuries from a fall. A cousin drowned in the tub at 5 and one of my nephews died of a self inflicted gunshot wound. So I would say it is not healthy to be a man in my family.

Good morning!

Activity was one of the keys. The other was strong family and community support. One country ate lots of bread wine and cheese. Another was on the wine,b because it reduced stress. WOW yeah not but 1-2 cups a day though.

Fasting was great! I feel refreshed and reguvinated.
