Just had a 4.0 earthquake about 10 miles from here

WOW are you ok??

I grew up in Cali, so I know that you kind of get used to them...but they can still be unnerving.

I am ok They have upgraded it to a 5.0 The house is still making noises. Yes it can be a interesting ride.

I checked CNN I did not see anything on there yet. Glad you are ok. I remember it being a creepy feeling.

Patience Part II

My loving and serving husband said ..we are leaving for the gym at 4:50, so I should start the car at 4:40. Yes honey. Don’t forget to turn all the knobs to the right. Ok I turn everything to the right. Yes all three knobs.

Missy gets in the car after spraying cleaner on the windshield to discover the first knob was off. Honey, why didn't you turn the first knob to the right. I did turn it to the right, but it was blowing cold air so I turned it off. I tried to turn the AC off, but it did not work.

You are so right P, I have to keep apologizing for myself. He tries extra hard to do as much as possible for me. Thank you for that. I think I will spend some time meditating today for some patience.

Ok, you never can be patient enough.

This morning my husband started the car for us before heading to the gym at 5:00 am. I hear him out the moving about the car, which I assumed he was brushing off the snow from the prior evening. After about 10 min he then starts the car.

When he comes in I am annoyed that he did not start the car and just come in so the snow will melt and be easier to clean off. I tell him how to do it the right way for next time.

We get outside to head for the gym after the car had been running for 10-15 min to discover that the windows are full of ice from snow turning to freezing rain I assumed. I get in the car to discover he never put the defrosters on. AAAHHHHH

The windows had a quarter inch of ice on them. He must have brushed the snow off the ice.

Well I just went in the house to take a shower and head of to work. I missed the gym, but not without great effort.

I was agitated, but how could I be when he was just trying to help.

*hint

:secret: they dont need defrosters in Africa.... :bonk:

 I went through the same thing.....

**another hint

:secret: they dont know about anti-freeze either..... :bonk:

You are going to have to step back and get out of a place of frustration...I had to. Keep reminding yourself this is a whole new world to him. :luv: Be patient they feel so bad when they make mistakes that seem so common to us :luv:

Chances are he does not know about certain machines either...vacumm...dishwasher...washing machine...clothes dryer....you get the idea :luv:

Hang in there MJ it will get easier ;)

Its not easy, but you will get through it. I started taking a deep breath and really contemplating any answers to those types of situations. Many times I did not address it right then, but later in a more casual way. Like...."oh hey I think I forgot to tell you about this...." That way it took the focus off him...
