Where are the interviews held in Canada? A lot of these posts are referring to Montreal interviews. Do interviews not take place at the Consulate in Toronto at all?

Our petition of I-130 has been forwarded to the NVC recently, so it will be a little while longer before I have an interview, but does this mean I'll be flying or driving to Montreal when it does happen? I live 30 mins east of Toronto, not sure if that makes a difference or not.

Help is appreciated! A trip to Montreal would be fun... but the immigration is costing enough as it is. Let alone hotel and flight costs.

Congratulations on your approval and good luck at NVC. Check out the following link for excellent info on navigating NVC.

Yes, your interview will be in Montreal.

All CR1 / IR-1 visa interviews are held in Montreal. Check the recent reviews under the "Reviews: Embassy/USCIS " link. This will give you valuable information about what to expect. In addition if you check out the Canada forum there are threads with great information on hotels in Montreal. Good luck!
