Got my Pack 3...

Well all, I finally got my Pack 3 today in the mail - wow was I shocked to see the envelope with United States of America - Official Business on it lol. This is the good news unfortunately I am broke right now:( Its gonna take me a few weeks even a month to get the money together. Jst wanted to know is there a deadline to send the pack 3 in by? It just says as soon as you have filled the checklist in. I mean im gonna need £160 for the medical. I also wanted to get a new passport so that around £50 there plus i dont know weather I should do that this far in the process incase we get an interview before my new passport comes back:( Oh decisions decisions, maybe I should have ore coffee and wake up first lol

27 Feb. 2006: K1 petition sent to Nebraska Service Centre

2 March 2006: NOA1 dated (received in mail on 9 March 2006)

4 May 2006: NOA2!!!!! (DAY 66)

8 May 2006: File Sent to NVC (as stated on email dated 9 May)

24 May 2006: NVC sends our file to London Embassy

8 June 2006: Packet 3 arrives (DAY 101)

25 August 2006: Pack 3 sent to London Embassy registered post

29 August 2006: London Embassy receives my Pack 3 - 9/9/06 pack 4 arrives

SEPT 2006:APPLICATION PUT ON HOLD - WE HAD A FALLING OUT.

MAY 2007:RESUMED THE VISA APPLICATION

6 June 2007: Medical @ 2.30pm - need to get anew GP letter and psychiatric evaluation

7 June 2007: INTERVIEW @ 10am - waiting for new police record letter

3 July 2007: APPROVED/Visa arrives

Bit of information, you can go to the post office and have your passport expressed, I will ask Tim about it more tonight if you need me to. He used the standard way 2 weeks ago and got his back yesterday.

10/07/2006 WEDDING DAY!

11/14/2006 AOS packet made it to 'the box' after being overnighted.

12/02/2006 Paul had biometrics

12/14/2006 AOS Forwarded to CSC AND AP Application approved.

01/17/2007 First touch of 2007 at CSC

01/20/2007 Touched AGAIN (also the 18th) come on...

February: Oops, RFE for a REGISTERED marriage certificate. Oops! Overnighted it.

02/28/2007 Paul gets email letting us know his GREENCARD is on it's way! It's done...for now!

03/09/2007 Paul's greencard arrives. And breathe...

We began with mailing the I-129 in on February 27, 2006 so the whole process took us approx. one year.

Yeah I was worried cuz its like the holiday time now and the passport offices are usually busy this time of year so they cant guarantee it being returned in 2 weeks:( but again I have money problems too so I dont know whether I should just leave the passport till I get married and get a new one done in the states - Mine is valid till 2008 but I wanted a new one before I moved because I think Ill have to come back to the Uk in 2008 for my scan - ohh damn its all money money money :(

You and joey should be getting your pack 3 soon too I hope :)

Passport offices are way faster now than they used to be, its takes around 2 weeks, my friend just got hers back, it took a week & half :thumbs: , as for not sending back pack 3 yet, I think you will be fine to hang onto it for a little bit, but dont hold it too long!! :yes:

April/04/2005- Visa journey began!!

We did both K3 & CR1 visa's, got both!!- I returned to England for my CR1 interview after first arriving on a K3 visa!!

May/25th 2006- Green card arrives in the mail................YAY!!

19th June 2006 I Had to go to the Social Security Office to get my number, the DS-230 didnt work for me!!

26-June-2006- Social Security# arrived in the mail....YAY!!

Feb 2008 lift conditions <<<reminder to self!!<<<< went to England for a visit instead, no rush right, 90 days is a long time,LOL

Removing Conditions Begins

Mailed I-751 April 12th 2008

signed for @ NSC April 16th

NOA date April 16th

Conditional GC expired May 5th 2008

Biometrics Detroit May 10th 2008

10 year Green card ordered August 20th 2008

Citizenship any time from feb 2009

I have noticed that some people have not sent in their packet 3 for weeks and it hasnt mattered..so you will be ok on that one...it seems that 3 weeks ago people were sending in their packet 3 and receiving an interview date within 1-2 weeks...from what the embassy is telling me (and i do call them everyday) they are now taking much longer again issuing interview dates...hope this helps

:( We are CR-1's so prolly take longer than you guys. Many congrats though good to see some getting through London in a timely manner.

Lina I wouldn't concern yourself with the passport if it doesn't expire until 2008. If it is money you don't have then why spend it? You can do it while here in the states, if you post it off soon enough before your trip back.

I know I had pkt 3 for over 3 weeks before I returned it and there was no problem - BUT..and this is more for K1 people as I have no clue about CR-1s..REMEMBER your NOA2 has an EXPIRY DATE!!

Applied for K1

Met online 2001 - just aquaintances

Sept 2002 - 1st US visit - everything goes perfectly.

Dec 20th - Forms recev'd at CSC

Dec 27th - NOA1 received by snail mail!

Dec 29th - 'Touched'

March 10 2006 - NOA2!

March 23 - recv'd at NVC

March 24 - petition sent to London

April 9th - Pkt 3 rec'd!

May 17th - Pkt 3 signed for at London Embassy

May 24th - Medical

May24th - Pkt 4

June 14th - Interview 10am - APPROVED 1pm!!

June 16th - Visas received in my hot little hands 1pm :)

July 19th - flying to US!

July 27th - Married!! :-)

Aug 7th - Applied for SSN in married name

Aug 9th - SSN received

You should be fine with your Packet 3... my fiance got his last November, and we ran into some stuff that delayed him sending it in until April. I got very worried after a while and emailed the London Consulate, and they said we had until November of this year to get it in, so I guess they give you a year to return it. You could always email them and make sure :) Good luck!!

1999 -- met randomly online, talked/called often

Dec 02 -- finally figured it out :)

Aug 3 05 -- submitted I-129F

Aug 10 05 -- received NOA1

Sept 05 -- two weeks in England

Oct 14 05 -- received NOA2

Oct 20 05 -- requested police certificate check thingy

Oct 25 05 -- petition sent to London Embassy!

Nov 8 05 -- Packet 3 received!!

Dec 05 -- where's the police report??

Jan 7 06 -- after much checking up, received letter saying police check app and payment received... finally! maybe now something will start moving

April 1 06 -- turned in Packet 3, holy cow

May 23 06 -- Consulate still says no Packet 3 :( gonna try to resend the forms...

June 6 06 -- new Packet 3 signed for at Consulate, waiting starts over

July 14 06 -- received Packet 4 - YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!! (I have been waiting SO long to put this on here!!!)

August 1 06 -- Medical in London :D

August 15 06 -- INTERVIEW @ 10:30 am

APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!

Dec 26 2006 -- AOS & EAD sent

Jan 3 2007 -- NOAs for AOS & EAD
