Good luck on your POE, Laura! You must be so happy.

Can't wait to see those joyous comments on Friday, Ellie. ;)

Hee hee....I hope I have joyous comments to make! I wont be able to give the result till quite late as I am not back from London till 8pm and david is in Miami for work and wont have access to a computer.

If it's good news I'll be drinking a glass of wine and giving my review

If it's bad news I'll be drinking a bottle of wine and giving my review

I think the thing I dread about the whole situation the most, is navigating my way around London. I am going up on Thursday evening, getting my pictures done, then going to the hotel. I have such a terrible sense of direction, I could end up half way to Manchester by the time the sun goes down on Thursday!

:)

I found using google maps and the street view app helped a lot when i had to goto london for my medical.

A virtual walk from your tube station of choice or wherever your hotel is, should help a lot.

Good luck for Friday.

And enjoy your Glass of wine :D

I think the thing I dread about the whole situation the most, is navigating my way around London.

I can understand why non-London residents may think it's a scary proposition, but it's really easy (unless there's a tube strike on, which there is right now, in which case it becomes an utter nightmare). Nobody due for interview in the next 48hrs is there? Because I'd be allowing a whole load of extra journey time if I were you. Thank that arsewipe Bob Crow and his RMT cronies for that one.

I JUST looked on the website and saw that there is a tube strike!!! I am going to london on Thursday! Arghgrgrhgrghghhhhhhhhhhh.....I am figuring out a way to walk from London Victoria Coach station to Bond Street (a quick trip to snappy snaps!) and then on to Marble arch which is near my hotel.

As if I wasn't stressed enough!!!!! I need a brandy or something

you get a bus. the 73, takes you straight there. 73 stop is outside victoria coach station. its a long bendy bus. ther will also be extro buses on, so dont worry. you dont need to go to bond treet to get pics you can do that at victoria. the 73 stops at marble arch, near kfc and evans. simples!!!

Here's my map with Embassy and some hotels and Gould's marked if it will help you.

Hey Ellie and David - how are you holding up?

Tube strike ends on Thursday evening and all services should be running normally on Friday morning. Better have a walking route planned from hotel to embassy.....Also, if you are travelling during rush hour on Thursday be aware buses will be very full.

On another note I know I saw a checklist on this thread some while back but for the life of me I can't find it. Does anyone know what page it's on?

Thanks,

Aoife.

This is Lisbette's post interview checklist. The stuff on the columns to the right are all the things they brought. The pink dots to the left and the pink notes were what they found they ACTUALLY needed on the day of.

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;#entry2864710 MARM found this, I'm just digging up her link. :)

Our experiences concur with the Pink dots/notes, but she has a more nicely laid out version.
