Hi,

I was wondering how long does it take for the packet#3 to be sent to my fiancée! She has called the consulate numerous times and she is being told they don’t have any of the paperwork sent from SDNVC. It was sent on 11-17-08 and they should have it by now. She is in Saigon, now would it be better if she went down there with the letter from NVC? It has a bar code on it and they may be able to track it. :crying:

The 129F was approved on the 11-17-08 and left on the 11-25-08! Furthermore, yes I did call...after looking at timelines for the Consulate, in Ho Chi Minh, they at lest should have the paperwork.

My fienace has made calls every day since Dec. 10! Has anyone else experienced this?? i wouldn't worry to much as long as I knew it was at the consulate?

According to your timeline, your case left NVC 11/25 - how did you come to this conclusion? (I assume you called NVC.)

Your file would not be lost. The process is slowly. One month already, now I think that your wife should bring the copy of approval to come to US Consulate to check if the file arrives yet.

It used to take me one month to wait for the file transfering from US to VN Consulate.

Please be calm and patient. You should check the time table of others to know how long it went.
