ok well we did the first one with petition. but i have just had an oh c@$$ moment and relised that i think we forgot to do a new one to reaffirm our intent for the interview (on jan 13th) when i got him to sent all the the other stuff through.

can anyone share their experience as to whether they want to see this item at London, or if its nessersary? I'm gunna ask Vito to do one today and send it as quick as possible but just want to know what would happen if i dont get it in time? or it gets lost? also is just signed ok like last time or does it have to be noterised like affidavit?

sorry for posting this but my searches arn't working at the moment.

thanks Hannah

They didn't ask for ours at the interview. If they ask for it at the interview and you don't have it then you'll most likely get approved pending that and you just have to send that back but the only time I've seen that happen was when the interview took place after the NOA2 expired and in that case the letter of intent needs to be notarized like the affidavit.

ah thanks, i believe ( i say this because we still havent seen a hardcopy of our noa2 yet) that it expires on the 23rd jan (approval was 23rd sept, so we were told) and the interview is on the 13th. maybe its best we do get it if we can.

When you get to your actual interview, the interviewer will have you complete a form where you write in your fiance's complete name and then sign an affirmation that you intend to marry him. They never even asked about our intent forms, and (as far as I remember) they weren't included on the list of things to bring with you to your interview. So all that to say, I wouldn't worry about it at all!!!

The letter only needs to be notarized if your interview is after the expire date on your NOA2. My visa was denied until I submitted a notarized letter of intent. If your interview is before that date, you should be fine. :)

Good luck!

Congrats! :D Shows how inconsistent and unpredictable the embassy can be. I was denied for not having a notarized letter, due to my NOA2 being expired! All is good though, as I sit here seven months later with my green card. :D

Safe travels! What a great xmas pressy that must be for you guys! :)
