Here is a link to the known Canada Day events taking part throughout the various States. It is available on the Connect2Canada site sponsored by the Canadian Embassy in Washington. When you click on a state in the map it will open up and show you what is planned for that area. If you want to plan something, you can also get in touch with Connect2Canada and they will list it on their events site. Enjoy!

thanks for this info...sadly, nothing happening in my State

won't be here anyway. On July 1st we're gonna be joining my old running group in Toronto for the Canada Day 10K. So looking forward to seeing them, my family and more importantly, to top up my Timmy's supply.

2011 March 31 - Sent off Naturalization pkg overnight to Texas

2011 April 1 - Arrived in Texas at 10:21 am

2011 April 1 - NOA (rec'd via snail mail April 8)

2011 April 7 - Cheque cashed

2011 May 5 - Biometrics (letter rec'd via snail mail April 15)

2011 May 9 - Placed in line for interview scheduling

2011 June 13 - Rec'd yellow letter (no change in status online)

2011 June 23 - Rec'd text that my case has been scheduled for interview

2011 August 1 - Interview (rec'd via snail mail June 27) PASSED

2011 August 3 - Rec'd email that my case has been scheduled for Oath

2011 September 1 - Oath ceremony (rec'd snail mail Aug 5)

2011 September 1 - All done, yeah.

Thanks, Kathryn41. The nearest party in New Jersey is an hour and a half away. But since it's my patriotic duty, as a dual citizen, to drink the better part of a 2-4, I've decided to celebrate at home, getting in shape for the Fourth of July. Gosh it's hard eating all these hot dogs and drinking all these Blues!

Maybe I'll throw a party of my own and give prizes for a game of Canadian Trivial Pursuit. Who is the Prime Minister? (no, it's not Tim Horton) What's the national sport? (no, it's not hockey)
