can someone help me out here???? okay so i emailed Athens last week right to ask the status of the case, and this is the email i got back on June 1st

We are adjudicating cases received July/August of last year. Since it's a

recently received you need to wait at last six months.

okay so i was bummed............well today out of the blue i get another email from her saying this:

We have requested your husband's Alien file from the United States. As soon

it is received we will review the case and advise you.

okay so anyone got any advice for me if we are movin or if its just a bs email to hold me off? but seriously i hadnt emailed her back after the june 1st email so this was just out f the blue.

I would say let it give you hope. They gave you the worst-case scenario on your June 1st email.

Well, I don't know exactly what it is, but I'm hoping that it's good news. Requesting your file is the next step towards having it looked at, right?

I'm hoping this is something real and not just her trying to mollify you. But it doesn't hurt to be optimistic, does it?
