Yup, saw that one! It made me laugh. Definitely not what I'm looking for. I like exercisetv because it's got a lot of different options in terms of intensity level. I appreciate that.

I used to cross the Port Huron/Sarnia route pretty regularly myself - whenever the ferries at Sombra/Marine City and Walpole Island/Algonac weren't running because of ice. It was a bit longer way and I hated going through Sarnia but I never had a problem with the border guards there. I always travelled with a packet of evidence showing my ties to Canada after the first time I was stopped and asked to prove I wasn't living in the US (I was crossing 2 to 3 times a week in the early part of a cross-border relationship). Port Huron was actually our POE when we activated my K-1. Sorry you are having trouble there - when the ice breaks up in the river and the drive isn't out of your way you might like to try one of the two ferries - I always found the rides over and back enjoyable and the border guards did get to know me there and were pretty decent to deal with (until the snarky new female refused to process my K-1 even after I personally visited the border the week before to ask if they would and was assured they did).

Well isn't that interesting. I never knew there were any ferries around there. The thing I always think is odd is that they are always friendly to me and don't speak to me like I'm a criminal or anything. They just tell me 75% of the time that "it's your lucky day" or "your number just came up" and then off I go for the full vehicle search. It's never the Canadians, just the Americans on my way home. I always find it laughable that there's no problem with me leaving the country but my own folks don't want me back.

Just curious - if she refused to process your K-1, what did you do?

I think you can go to any POE can't you? Not sure about that, but it doesn't seem like it would make any difference really.

You would think so. But there's one sure way to find out.

I was thinking about the Nexus pass while I was at work today (really working hard eh? lol oh #######, I said "eh") and I realized I should probably wait. I know, you think I'm being a lazy butt again, but I think I have a legitimate reason this time. I'll be spending the last half of February getting my name changed on basically everything I own and every account I have, not to mention, I'll have to send my passport in for a name change. I should probably wait until all of the name change ####### is over with.

 at the bolded bit.

No, I don't blame you. I'd wait to apply for the Nexus pass, too, under those circumstances.

Good morning, everybody. Since Trailmix was not happy with yesterday's coffee, here's an upgrade:

Here he is.

His silliness, Axle the kitteh.

He is young and extremely frisky.

Would not let me step onto the bathmat.

I am kitty-sitting for my SIL for 9 days or so...
