Milk in bags in PEI too...

but they stopped the practice of you being able to open the bags of 3 so you could only buy 1... that was a sad day. They did the same thing with eggs.. people used to rip the carton of eggs into 1/2 dozens.. the good old days are gone forever!!

haha people really did that? I'm pretty sure its just a twist tie still that my mum gets...I'm not really sure though!

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

That is really great, what you said Carla, about time spent on things that matter.

I love a clean house (boat, trailer, whatever, hahaha) too, and I will kill myself to make it that way when I move in, and then tiny maintenance and keep things in their places. A tight ship, so to speak. That way things can be found and everything looks neat.

Clean/neat space inspires....if I have to make space for art, it never gets done.

Football. Arrrrrrr, I am at my wit's end with USians and their love of games.

Such a wasteful distraction.

What is important, people?!

I know I am barking up a storm and no one can hear.

sigh

I miss my peops...my kind of peops.

Milk: Quebec used to have milk in bags. I think it lost its popularity. I don't know if you could find that any more there.

Personally, organic milk does not come in bags, and you will not catch me drinking milk that contains all sorts of unspeakable horrible things.

PLEASE BUY ORGANIC!

Do it for your health, and it tastes absolutely delicious.

Believe me now and trust me later.

I wish all of you a great week.

Happy Monday!

We might even get our gas turned back on this morning...hahaha. Grrrrrr...

Oh one more thing....for now, hee hee.

"In 2001, after George W. Bush was sworn in for his first term in office, he went to Mexico, breaking the long tradition of reserving the new U.S. president’s first visit for Canada."

That quote from the CBC article Emancipation linked...well Barack is going to Mexico today for his first official "foreign leader meeting".

Man, that bites.

So him coming soon after his swearing in to Canada...oh and SH is so proud to say it isn't he?

Well...

sigh

Oh, it's all good...to me.

It just seems like Canada's prime minister (Stephen "stiff hair" Harper) sounded so proud that B.O. said he would visit soon.

Bah.

And today on NPR I heard that he is going for his first official meeting with a foreign leader in Mexico.

Why did they not all meet together?

After all the three countries that make up this continent could behave like the one human family that we are...dysfunctional as it is.

Hahaha!

Whatever.

Life goes on.

Okay okay okay

I just have to share this joke...just got it in an email from a friend in Vancouver.

Enjoy!

Wouldn't you know it? Yesterday I had a flat tire on B.C.'s Highway One.

I eased my car over to the shoulder of the road, carefully got out of the car and opened the trunk. I took out 2 cardboard men, unfolded them and stood them at the rear of my car facing oncoming traffic. They look so lifelike you wouldn't believe! They are in trench coats, exposing their nude bodies and private parts to the approaching drivers. I started to change my tire, and to my surprise, cars started slowing down looking at my lifelike men. And of course, traffic started backing up. Everybody was tooting their horns and waving like crazy. It wasn't long before an RCMP highway patrolman pulled up behind me. He got out of his car and started walking towards me. I could tell he was not a happy camper! "What's going on here?" "My car has a flat tire," I said calmly. "Well, what the hell are those obscene cardboard men doing here by the road?" I couldn't believe that he didn't know.

So I told him, "Hello-o-o-o-o-o --------- those are my emergency flashers!"
