Good morning! Thunderstorms during the night last night, and I think during the day today as well. Nice day to hunker down with a good book I think.

Enjoy your day!

Good morning and thanks for the lovely coffee Carla!

I don't get it.

My brother was dating a former Miss Georgia winner whose in law school with him now. He said they really got along and he liked her a lot. They're both on Facebook and from the tons of comments she's left -- and continues to leave -- it's very obvious she really likes him, if not more.

So what does he do? He stopped dating her. He said he didn't "have time for a relationship right now." That seems like a poor excuse. If he doesn't want to date her, that's fine, but to blame it on a "lack of time?"

I told my wife this and she thought he should pursue the relationship. I do too. It's not our decision, but it seems to us that he had a good thing going on there and called it off for less-than-honest reasons.

If the best he could come up with is that he doesn't 'have time for a relationship right now' - this would denote a distinct and total lack of interest in Miss Georgia.

At least he didn't say "it's not you, it's me.. "

It sounds like classic fear of commitment if you ask me.

"He's just not that into her"! Haven't you all seen that movie or read the book? Trust me, if he was into her, no matter HOW busy, he'd make the time.

I thought your brother was preparing to enter the JAG corps. Maybe he actually doesn't have time for it.

Yeah, he is. Although I still don't see what's wrong with getting a good piece of... oh um... getting into a solid relationship. Yeah, that's the ticket.

Well, I have had some adventures since I left home, that's for sure. I don't have the energy to tell you them all at the moment, though. Let's just start with one. LOL

My husband dropped me off at the airport early because he had to go to work. (It was his day off.) So I'm sitting outside enjoying the sunshine when some man sat down next to me and we started making small talk. Eventually he started telling me about how he was flying back to Denver after coming down to Florida to drop his parents off on a cruise. They paid for his flight and his hotel, etc. So they're now on their cruise and he's trying to get back to Denver. Only they hadn't paid the taxes on his free flight (Southwest points) so he had been trying to get hold of them on their ship and through the cruiseline so that the airport taxes could be put on their card since he doesn't have a card and he doesn't have $12 cash. :o And he's taken his last shot of insulin so now time's a tickin. So I ask him how much he was short and he says "$12". So I gave him $20. He asked for my address so he could repay me but I told him not to worry about it. I don't need complete strangers knowing my name and address. End of Adventure #1. LOL

so I went to see a therapist a few times at the beginning of last year.... since then she only sent me one bill... I did send her a portion of the money I owed but I didn't pay off the bill till a month or so ago when we got our tax money..

anyways today I get a letter in the mail from the therapist... in the letter it states that everything is paid off and she thanked me for remembering this bill and then she said she was touched by my honesty, sincerity and kindness, and that she is including a a check for 30 dollars as a discount and says that she wants me to have a nice dinner out with my husband... :)

I should be thanking her for not putting the bill into collections...

Awww. What a wonderful therapist, Marilyn. That was so nice of her.

Krikit that's great! You did you good deed for the day. I wouldn't give some random airport stranger my address either! The people you meet in airports... Once I spent 5 hours talking to some farmer from rural PA because my fiance's flight was delayed and I didn't get the memo... He was a nice guy but I heard wayyyy to many personal details of his life. Another time some old man who owns an advertising company gave me an hour long business speech that resulted in me having a purse full of business cards. He just didn't understand that If I needed to get some advertising done It didn't make sense for me to contract him out from Indiana.
