We grilled outside too. But then my husband dropped a piece of coal through our balcony and it landed on the neighbors patio. Yea she didn't like that too much. Her son walked outside and was about to pick it up and she said: "Leave it there for when I report them"

Ok there, don't you think it would take less energy to pick up the damn charcoal than it would be to call the property management and report us?

And isn't it funny we're getting "reported" for dropping a piece of coal through our balcony, yet the neighbors next door had a huge party that was loud and outside and lasted until at least 4 this morning.

I don't know about you guys, but I would take a single piece of coal over a noisy crowd of frat boys any day.

That's ridic because it was obviously an accident, it's not like you threw it on purpose or something

Good morning everyone! I'm a lobster today! We went to the game yesterday and I'll NEVER get 3rd base line tickets for an afternoon game again! My chest, arms, neck and face are so burned! I didn't sleep much last night. The Cardinals lost as well. :( I'll have to see if I'm too sore to participate in pilates as well today. I'm away tomorrow and Wednesday at a State conference for my volunteer work, so I'll be MIA for a couple of days. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

yummy coffee!! Sunburns suck!! get out the Aleo vera. 1 week to go until i write my Final exam. 8 days til we fly to Vancouver and Tim Hortons, lol 11 days to Alaskan cruise, and turn off brain!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Good morning, all.

1. I go to the Domincan on Friday! WOOO!

2. Nev- I hate HOA's. I was under the impression we couldn't have a bbq because we don't have steps leading down from our back porch to the ground where all the bbqs are supposed to be. Our porch is completely closed in and we aren't allowed to have a bbq on there. But, then I saw our neighbours grilling in their driveways and I was really mad because I felt like a hot dog. haha

3. Wow is it ever hot. 90 yesterday.

4. Is it just me, or does any one ever question unncessary nudity in films? Yesterday I was watching the movie Role Models and even though it had a lot of stupid humour in it, it wasn't like an American Pie flick...at least not 100%. Twice there were screen shots of a woman's breasts. Now, what do people get out of that? Are woman's breasts funny? Is a man sitting in the audience drooling over seeing breasts for..a split second? I don't get what it really does for the movie.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

I belive it has to do with the fire code, and each state, municipality is different, so its not always a HOA thing, and some people just ignore it,lol

re: # 4 -> Duh - they're boobies :)

It does nothing except perhaps get a few more 15 yr olds to go to the movie who don't have boobies of their own (or said girlsfriend's) to play with .. Random nudity seems almost common now, as if it's no big deal. i'm far from a prude, but I do get offended that it's ok for a a woman's private body parts to be flashed on screen, but no one is showing me a big old ####### (ok, maybe I'd prefer a young one...but I doubt it. Hubster's is great! )

I don't find breasts funny myself, although there is a quite a wide variety in this world!

Yea I was under the impression that we were allowed to have a table top or small grill outside. Maybe I'm wrong, oh well I'll plead ignorance if they say something to me. I just hate people who act self righteous like she did. Today I am going to go out and look for something to go over our balcony floor so that there's no cracks that go downstairs.

This is off topic in the off topic... I'm addicted to mario cart. :(

The large solid plastic floor 'mats' that they use for anti-static grounding at computer or office workstations might be just the thing - you can get them at many office supply stores.

I was thinking that.

I just read the mt. laurel fire department website and it says we're not allowed to cook under an open flame on a balcony.

Whoops. But I see so many other people do it. And yes for the record, if it everyone else jumped off a bridge, I would too... :P

I don't understand what kind of balcony floor you have - where something can drop through?

They have that same rule in Ontario - although maybe it was municipal - in Kitchener - you can't BBQ on an apartment balcony, against Fire regulations
