Congrats on your freedom krikit - and on your holy land experience? Out of curiousity - what food DO they have at holy land?

Well, I didn't visit any of the concession stands because I'd figured they already had enough of my money, but I did see a pretzel stand and a coffee/pastry/deli shop. And I saw some people at a table eating burgers and chicken strips and stuff. Ugh. I just get so annoyed.... and bewildered, really.... at the entire thing.

Just spotted this in your signature:

These are not interchangeable:

Fiancé = Male

Fiancée = Female

:lol:

How about lose and loose??

Good morning everyone. Hope everyone had a great weekend. We only had a dusting of snow when we woke up Sunday morning. Lots of rain on Saturday though. We didn't go to Chicago on the weekend. On Friday Gene got the flu, so we spent a quiet weekend at home.

amid all the hype of zomg 4-12" of snow on fri night and sat, we wound up with about 1.5" of snow on sat.

good morning canada.

My Husband just sent me a message - he said - did you notice anything different in the backyard today - I said no - he said go out and have a look - so I do. There is a huge tree in the neighbours yard that is missing, which is (normally) right behind the fence our yard borders with theirs.

The tree was dead and the woodpeckers really liked it (the neighbours yard is a disaster area).

So on the upside woody woodpecker won't be out there, on the downside, I liked to sit in the shade of that tree trunk :lol:

He also said he saw a small raccoon at the side of the yard this morning in a tree.

I finally got frustrated enough to put that in my siggy! :lol: I was getting tired of reading posts where they were talking about their fiancé and then it turns out it's actually the fiancée. (And vice versa.) For example, you'd read a post where the member is asking about gardasil for their fiancé and I'd be just about ready to respond that fiancés don't require gardasil when I'd pause, take a look at their timeline to determine who was the beneficiary, and realize they were talking about their fiancée. So annoying. lol

But yeah..... I can think of lots of grammatical errors in addition to lose and loose. Like advice and advise.... and you're and your.... and their and they're. Not to mention the apostrophe problem. It would drive me batty if I let it. :lol:

Missing tree. OMG, that is the funniest thing. :lol::lol::lol:

Windy day here in VA!! Just submitted my paperwork for my RN licensure and testing stuff, $330 poorer,lol Guess i should get back to studying,!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

But the real question is..... Did the bottled water they sell there turn into wine? :devil:

Oh, "they" (read MIL) definitely weren't concerned with whether or not I would be interested in it or not. It's what the MIL wanted.

Holy smokes. Has it been two years already? :o

I wish. Seriously.

Ouch. Sorry about your knee, E. :(

In the U.S. people spend billions to keep themselves entertained. :bonk:

I wonder how much of that will drop being most have had to tighten their spending habits.

My mind keeps me entertained, plenty. :lol:

I don't know. I imagine a lot of people are using credit cards now just to get by - so that will be the next U.S. financial disaster.

It's really too bad.
