Hi. My green card expires in about 9 months. I applied for renewal of TPS while gettig ready to apply for adjustment of status, my attorney said it made no difference sice I would have to apply for a work permit anyway. The TPS expires early next year, the dateline to apply for renewal is at the end of this month. Do I need to renew my TPS now that I have the conditional green card? Do I need a work permit? Thanks in advance. JR

If you have already been approved for a Greencard (LPR) then you do not need to apply for a TPS your Greencard allows for Work and Travel. Just make sure you file to remove the conditions before the card expires. The earliest you can file is 90 days before the expiry date on the Greencard.
