ive been to phil twice w/ out amending my passport. though i brought my marriage cert. w/ me. no major issue but there's one incident in korea where they look at my GC and my maiden name passport lol and i had to show my marriage cert. and im good to go... i really wanted to amend my passport but we're planning to go to phil again (in God's will) this coming feb. and i am not sure how long my passport will be process if i send it in san fran. coz if ever we go, i dont wana jeopardize the trip per se. anybody here knows how long they will send you the new passport??? thanks!

Make sure you take all your documentation with you when you change the passport and that would include your marriage certificate registered with the government agency recording such events and any divorce finals, etc. You will need to make copies of everything.

We went to the consulate in L.A. to get Claudeth's passport renewed and updated with her married name and I made several trips down stairs to the copy place

when did that rule took effect? coz im curios knowing when i inquired 2 weeks ago (i printed 2 forms from them [a. report of marriage b. passport amendment]), it stated that i dont have to apply in person if its just amending my passport due to marriage... renewal would be different though coz u have to be in person and or if ur a minor or a senior citizen then u dont have to appear in person... correct me if im wrong.

I could be wrong on just amending the PP. I know you have to apply in person for renewal.

You don't need to as long as you have your marriage certificate with you when you travel..But i DId have my passport ammended before i went home just to be sure I will have no problem with immigration.

musta inyong trip!!! dili pa sure. it depends on the house that we're trying to rent in siargao... if its available, then we could (pag may budget pa hehe) if not, then trip trip nalang inside the US... im scared to amend my passport before the trip but kung less than a month lng, i guess i would do it now... thanks kau ha!!! is it gona be royal blue background? i just read that, just wana clarify if the white background is no longer the requirement. my old passport has white background in photo but ive heard if i amend it now, i should send a royal blue one??? thanks! and God bless!!!
