I am freaking out here and need someone to tell me all will be ok ... I finally found a cosponsor, she is a friend and is married to a british man and understands how hard it is to get things done. So she has offered ... Well she thought when she offered that her sister had sponsored him because she had been out of work due to maternity leave when there time came around. He has just informed her that he doesnt think they took her sisters paperwork because hers was enough. now if she has sponsored him can she still sponsor Keith???? OMG if this falls through its over cause I have noone else :( please reply to me and let me know.

Thanks

Chelle

It shouldn't matter if she sponsored him as well. Just as long as her income for 3 is above the 125% poverty guidelines.

Couple of questions:

  • Is your income close/above the $17,500 level (for 2 people)?
  • How long ago did 'she' sponsor 'him'?

And yes, it is true - if a beneficiary brings a co-sponsors affidavit of support but the Spouse/Fiancé Sponsor's income is sufficient, the embassy will typically return the co-sponsors paperwork and not use it.

My income is nowhere near that right now. I am just starting a new job as I have been in the uk for 6 months. Hers is over the amount for the amount of people though including her spouse and kids. I believe it was last year that she sponsored him , hers was for the K3 .. Do you think this is going to mess us up? :(

For London, no problem as long as her income is sufficient to cover her household plus your fiance.
