Hi VJ,

Hi VJ family. I am from philippines and file for immigrant visa. My husband is in US right now.

I will having an appointment in the third week of December 2008. Then they want me to go to ST. Lukes Hospital for medical. Now here is my questions i want to know.

1. If i had interview on that day, so when will i need to go to ST. lukes for medical?

2. What should i need to bring to ST. lukes?

3. How much is the payment?

4. Can i get the result within that day?

About this coming interview to me. They dont put time for my interview just only date.

- What is the best thing I will do so I wont miss in that appointment?

- What should i need to bring during the interview?

-How long the interview get done? Or how long should i need to wait for that time?

Actualy I had attorney who file for my immigrant visa. I am still confuse for everything.About the questions they may ask for me. Any advice much be appreciated.

1. If i had interview on that day, so when will i need to go to ST. lukes for medical?

you need to go to St. Luke's at least a week before your interview schedule

2. What should i need to bring to ST. lukes?

appointment interview schedule, passport, 3 pcs of visa pics and money

3. How much is the payment?

The new medical exam fees will be the equivalent peso value of U.S. $213.35 for adults (15 years and older) and U.S. $185.35 for children (under 15 years of age).

4. Can i get the result within that day?

No, you need to go back to get your result. i think that is still the procedure? i am not sure about that but that was the procedure during my time (Aug 2008).

About this coming interview to me. They dont put time for my interview just only date.

i am not sure on why they didn't put time on your interview. if i were you i'll call the US embassy and clarify about it.

301-2000 ext. 5184 or 5185 the best time to call them is 8am, to avoid call traffic :)

- What is the best thing I will do so I wont miss in that appointment?

mark your calendar :P

- What should i need to bring during the interview?

all the evidences that will prove that you have bonafide relationship. you can check out my signature and see on how i prepared my papers :D

-How long the interview get done? Or how long should i need to wait for that time?

i was there in the USEM around 7am and i got out 9:55am :)

GOOD LUCK! :thumbs::star:

My interview is scheduled Dec 9. Went to have our medicals with my daughter Nov 26th and we were finally done Dec 2 d/t Dec 1 holiday plus my daughter had to have a CXR before she could get her immunization. So at least a week or more before your interview would be fine. Mondays are the busiest days and it would take you ages to finish. I went on a Wednesday afternoon and was done in about 3 hours for the first day. Other than the payment for the medical, dont forget to bring your passport and 3 2x2 pics taken in a manner similar to the visa photos. At the end of your medicals, they will hold on to your passport and will forward it to USEM along with the medical report. Also, bring a BLACK pen as that is the only color they will accept. If you have any medical records, bring those too, esp if you had undergone any surgical procedure. Oh..and be sure to have a very good meal before going..you never know how long you'll be in there. Results will be given same day as your immunization...well, at least a copy of your vaccination record will be given to you. They will be the one to forward the results to USEM.

Thing about attorneys....they never seem to tell you anything and get a big payload out of something you could've done yourself ( and probably at a much faster pace too!). A great majority of us on this site did everything on our own...and did pretty well, I must say.

As for the interview, you may want to call the embassy about that. Earliest time is 6:30am and you would have to be there at least an hour early. BTW...do you have a CENMAR already? You should get that if you don't have it. With document verification suspended for now, you will be asked for it. Whatever you submitted with your DS-230, you should have with you. Add the notarized copy of your I-864 affidavit of support too, other docs that will prove your identity and, of course, proof of a bonafide marital relationship.

12-09-08 - INTERVIEW @ 6:30AM...God be with us! --- APPROVED!!!

yes, you can print it out and show it to the guard of SLEC so that they will let you in :) BTW you need to present din pala your interview appointment letter indicating the date and time of your interview sa guard ng USEM pra papasukin ka nila.

If that's the case, then you would need to submit a CENMAR or a certification of marriage. Note that this is different from your marriage certificate. It is a different document altogether and is required by the US Embassy. You can order it online at www.e-census.com or avail of it at your local NSO Serbilis Center or even order it by phone at +63 (2) 737-1111. :)

You need to get a new CENOMAR from NSO-Manila. The Embassy requires at least a 6-month old CENOMAR. I think this is because they need the latest update of someone's marriage status. About the appointment letter, yes, you can print the email confirmation that was sent to you and present it to St. Luke's.
