I mean birth certificate to be particular.

Because it is such an important paper. We will bring all docs to the interview.

Always send copies and take your originals with you to the interview!

Personnally, I sent in Packet 4 the originals and kept copy for myself. Fort the birthcertificate, I asked my courthouse 2 originals to have another one just in case...

What forms should be send back to the Consulate?

As soon as first package is received

*Form DS-230I Biographic Data Part 1

When all required documents are accumulated for interview (including medical)

*Applicant's Statement of Readiness to be Interviewed complete with all forms and supporting documents (i.e. birth certificate, military records, etc). Make sure to make copies of supporting documents.

We aquired several birth certs, and other docs so that the consulate can keep one and we can bring the extras to the USA.
