When calling to NVC, remember to talk operator directly by press #5 ( or #2 in system), K-1 is not on the list if you forgot to talk to operator.

Have you called USCIS to make sure it has definitely left and they sent it to the NVC? I have read of some cases of USCIS having sent cases to the wrong place, from what I remember it was USCIS not NVC who had to sort it out.

Guys,

I have added code to handle K3 visas. There are still lots of bugs to work out, you'll notice lots of "Month '-1' out of range 0..11 at vj.pl line 64." messages that are part of my debugging output. Unfortunately people put crazy stuff on their timelines like dates that don't exist (e.g. November 31st) :bonk: That confuses the date-handling library I am using. For some reason it just refuses to understand illegal dates from the timelines

Also, because I pull 1000 records of each type - K1 and K3 - the K3 data goes back much further, so there are K3 stats from 2004, 2005 etc. That needs to be cleaned up, along with the obvious cases of ppl who are out of NVC based on later activity like Interview dates, Visas, etc but still show up in the "Stuck at NVC" table. I have code to handle these cases but it obviously isn't working correctly as noted by jam.

I probably won't get to any cleanup until at least next week due to work (yeah I have a real job... VJ is only just a hobby  ) and being out of town this weekend in Toronto.

Anyway, feel free to check it out. Same URL as before http://apnvc.nxserve.net/vj.pl

Any bugs you spot, or suggested enhancements... just shoot them my way, we'll try to take care of them.

Welcome to all the new members of our thread .... it's always nice to see new faces even if you are here for a bad reason (getting stuck!!!). Hopefully you won't be stuck long and you can be entertained in our nice community here. Many of us who got stuck and eventually released still hang out here a lot, as you can see. I think it's one of the friendliests forum on VJ, personally.

Congrats luck-e :dance: and everyone who has their interview dates. Todd, you should be getting close too. We still don't have ours.

Thank you for adding the K3! :star:

No news on an interview date yet?

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

No, still nothing from the embassy. I'm getting worried that something's fouled up again. We were cleared from NVC more than 2 weeks ago. As of today March 30, we still didn't get a Packet 3 from the embassy. My fiancee has emailed the embassy, and I'm thinking maybe I need to call NVC again to reconfirm that they in fact sent out our case. It feels like we're destined to hit a snag at EVERY stage of this process

Regarding approvals, it looks like we should have a bunch of new approvals coming up!

For K1:

Triana & Steve Colombia Vermont Service Center 2009-02-03 55

Sharon & Mo Canada Vermont Service Center 2009-02-04 54

Jen & Justin Canada California Service Center 2009-02-04 54

Cecilia & Al Philippines Vermont Service Center 2009-02-06 52

Nadiya & Joe Ukraine Vermont Service Center 2009-02-13 45

For K3:

Jennifer Bernarte & Rico Bernarte Philippines California Service Center 2009-02-06 52

Juliana & Ryan Brazil Vermont Service Center 2009-02-09 49

C & S India California Service Center 2009-02-11 47

deonila & stephen douglas Philippines Vermont Service Center 2009-02-12 46

Of course, some of these may already have cleared NVC and just never updated their timelines. The only ones we know are truly stuck AP are Nadiya&Joe and Jennifer&Rico, because they are active on our message thread.

I want to do a bunch more enhancements and cleanup activities. E.g. the big blue tables are sort of 'catch-alls' for the cases that have an NVC In date, don't have an NVC out date, but have a later date meaning that obviously they got out of NVC. I'm thinking of reorganizing and putting that on a separate page, so it doesn't clutter the tables I think most of us really want to see.

So, I'm thinking to have a series of webpages: 1) K1 In/Out & K1 stuck 2) K3 In/Out & K3 stuck 3) the "leftovers" page 4) by-country stats 5) by-month stats

And I want to crontab the whole thing hourly to keep the load on the database down, and to let the pages reload quickly. Right now as you've noticed it takes a while to load the page because it goes to VJ and pulls all the data from scratch each time. Anyway, if people have more advice on what you'd like to see, let me know!

I realize I'm probably making this project much bigger than it needs to be, but I am having fun with it, so what the heck, right?

I have been micromanaging the paperwork ever since we got bogged down at NVC. I e-mailed the consulate 2 days after I thought DHL delivered it to confirm receipt then e-mailed them again after Hien dropped off the forms from packet 3 at the info window to confirm they had them. After all the waiting, I do not want to find that the case was just overlooked for 2 weeks!! You might consider e-mailing them yourself since you are the USC and it is our embassy. Might get more attention?? Don't know. I am really hoping you get something soon!!

I realize I'm probably making this project much bigger than it needs to be, but I am having fun with it, so what the heck, right?

Ron, you are doing a great service to future stuck VJ'ers! And if you are having fun, all the better. I'm sure that when your fiancee arrives, the updating of the code will stop...

I was going to say the same thing. I would suggest that you email them.

Yazied just got the packet 3/4 from Amman last week. and we got out on 2/26. So dont worry too much.

Also, they gave me the interview date when I emailed.

good luck, i hope you guys dont hit any more snags

also agreed that your work on this project is a HUGE service to current and future vj'ers who get stuck at nvc..keep it up and have your fun
