I just called NVC and knew that our case was on AP in 01/05. Thatwas really sad. We passed the pressure of USCIS and now don't know what day NVC can do its work.

Welcome caochi and W H C.

Sorry to hear people are still getting stalled at this level, there seem to be more all the time. Perhaps they are doing something extra, or something new, than they have in the past, as we have been wondering all along.

I hope it ends soon for you all. I'll still be around here

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Just called NVC because I noticed that a package was sent to my embassy this evening.....but it wasn't mine.. :crying:

However, the lady was extremely nice and thorough and although she basically said the same stuff, she said in a way like she cared and wasn't reading a script.

She did say that many people were calling tonight and they are aware of these cases needing to be expedited because they have time limits in order to get the visas.....so she said try back Friday or Tuesday but keep in mind that the delay might have been because of the holidays and don't forget that Monday is a holiday too.

So.....let's all keep hanging in there!!!!

Hang in there everyone...it will be over.

With so many people ending up at NVC in AP, it does seem rather a new trend to me.

I have had an email from the embassy here, and have an interivew date so that's all good. Would have been sooner than it is were it not for work.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Thats funny, I must have called NVC 5 minutes after you on Monday, as this same lady told me these EXACT words, almost to the letter you are describing, and not to call Monday because of holiday, then she told me, these know these are time sensitive and she just told someone this same thing 5 minutes ago, so that must have been YOU!!....small world. Yes, you are right, this ONE lady went a little out of her way. When i told her we ALL are watching the NVC progress, she asked me WHO is ALL???. I told her there are a whole group of us on VJ tracking progress and watching how long each takes and reporting to each other. She never heard of VJ (hard to believe?) so all I can say is that it DOES good to call and bug them, as when they have their weekly meetings with their managers, they report about what the biggest complaints in the system are....and we want to make sure that WE are the BIGGEST pain in their asses, that they have to deal with, then maybe they will pass this along to the background people and step up production. I am on my 5th week also and its CRAZY as my friend was in and released in 8 days TOTAL

be well and stay strong, it won't be long.............I hope!!!!!

So.. what happens if the case gets stuck long enough for the NOA2 to expire? Which is, what, four months?

Who gets what extended? Who do you call? Who do you ###### at? Who.. etc.

Still no news here. Waiting a few more hours before I call.

My fiance found a package delivered to the USEM in Zagreb today, or something like that, but according to the info coming from an embassy email.. nope, not ours. Meh.

As far as I am aware they extend it. I don't think you have to ring anyone. I had a look into that after 7 weeks at NVC, and from what I could read here that's what happens. I'll check what I read before.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

What were you looking at to tell this?

DHL. That is how your papers are shipped to the embassy. I kept a close on eye on it once we were at NVC.

You won't know for sure it's your case, and you won't know which tracking number is yours, but if you can see they are sending a package to the country you are interested in you can check with NVC to see if they still have it. Towards they end we rang a lot, but in the first while only if I saw a package headed here.

NVC to Embassy using DHL...

www.dhl.com

You should choose USA for the country if this comes up on your main page (where it is leaving from). After that, on the toolbar at the top, put your mouse over Track and a menu appears. You want track by reference.

For today, in the top box where it says reference I put :

EXP 12 JAN 2009A <---- this should be about one day before the NVC tells you it left.

Below in the "shipment pick up date range" put the day NVC told you it left as start and finish. Sometimes you have to play around a bit with the dates, but I've usually managed to find what works this way.

In both boxes today I put Jan 13 2009.

At the foot of the page you will see a little box marked track with a red arrow, click on that and a list should appear ...there were 3 pages today.

The only trouble I have relates to the day/date thing. I am a day ahead here in NZ, and always getting an error "The date cannot be in the future" Course it can...that's where I am :P

To find anything shipped on a Monday I put the same date, in my case Jan 12 in all three boxes and that worked to on their Monday, my Tuesday.

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.
