Hi everyone.. I believe everyone here knows alot about NVC..

we got our NOA2 yesterday (email...)got approve 49 days after noa1

my question is

will we recieve a EMAIL CONFIRMATION that NVC has recieved our case?

will the CASE STATUS ONLINE show NVC has recieved our case?

DO we need to pay anything to NVC? (if YES... what for?)

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.. GOOD LUCK N GOD BLESS US ALL

Wow - Congrats on your very quick approval! No, you will not receive an email from the NVC. The petitioner will get a letter about 10 day to 2 weeks after your approval date. The letter wil show your case number and will state that within a week your case will be sent on to the foreign consulate which may or may not be true (which is why this thread exists - some cases are delayed up to about 50 days).

The case status online will not show that the NVC has received your case. That is only used by the USCIS and is often not even updated for approvals by them.

No there is no fee to the NVC.

After you get the letter from the NVC, you should call them at 603 334-0700 to ask if your case has been sent on to the foreign consulate. I hope they don't tell you that your case is having "additional processing".

Good Luck!

Yes. I think all of the old gang has moved on. Maybe that's a good thing? If everyone who was stuck is out, and no one new is getting stuck, we should celebrate!

Although it will be sad to lose our old home here, if AP@NVC dies isn't that actually a good thing?

On the other hand, I don't believe NVC has really stopeed its nasty little games. Here's the current list of VJ K1 filers who are in NVC > 30 days:

Sandeep & Adrienne India Vermont Service Center 2009-03-31 51

Lucia & Chris Brazil California Service Center 2009-04-03 48

hardik & janki India Vermont Service Center 2009-04-03 48

Just because they're not here on our thread doesn't mean they're not getting stuck...... :(

Yes odd - almost a week with no new posts.

On another note ... So I was released on the 12th. Every time I called the NVC (about 15 times over 50 days) they confirmed my phone number and email address and assured me that they would contact me when my case was sent on.

Of course I have received no official notice. The NVC (and USCIS) work in mysterious ways ...

 Agreed!

Hope you are busy with good things Badgerella. Finishing up your studies and getting ready for the big move and the wedding, I expect.

As for us, STILL no interview date. We've now been at the embassy longer than we were in AP@NVC, and still don't have an interview date.

Matt - agreed, the NVC process is totally ridiculous. Beginning with their infamous letter promising 1 week till they'll send it on, through the silly line they would tell us each time we called. What a total waste of time that was.

I check to see if anyone has posted whenever I check the boards, but thats not nearly so often nowadays.

I am very lucky my AOS was approved super speedy so I'm just waiting for my greencard to come in the post. I'm also busy studying to take my US nursing exams.

Ron, the wait for your interview must be so frustrating. I noticed from the UK forums that the time people are waiting to hear about an interview has lengthened considerably but nowhere near as bad as yours.

I hope they get their fingers out soon and get it sorted so you and Thanita can be reunited.

Best of luck to everyone else for smooth interviews and POE's and wonderful weddings!

I second Talyss' sentiment.

Good luck everyone. I have the thread tagged so will keep an eye out for new people who have been stuck and will be here and ready to help out if/when they need it.

Ron - I do hope they get back to you soon. You guys deserve a medal for patience quite frankly. I have everything crossed for you that you get that magic date soon.

Badgerella - good luck with the exams and the packing up. I hope everything goes smoothly for you.

Talyss - I hope those exams are a success for you.

As for me, I'm handing my notice in on my job on Tuesday, moving back in with my mum at the end of next week and have my interview 3 weeks today and hopefully will be leaving England in just under 8 weeks.

Catch you all soon...no doubt. :)

Yeah, I've mostly been really busy studying and just preparing for the big move. Getting ready for four exams at once is pretty complicated and I'm pretty sure I don't even have to mention what it can look like when you're, on top of that, trying to help organize a wedding (and sort papers, and think of what all you may, or may not forget... and, also, trying to spend time with family and friends you're, eventually, leaving behind).

So that's what it's mostly been. We finally have a wedding date, too, and we plan to have me travel at the beginning of August.

uscandual, I hope you get your interview date soon. That's totally nuts, what you're going through there.

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

More good news for us - Bing's interview will be on June 23! I will be attending too. I'm not leaving anything to chance now. The plan is that we will have an engagement party after the interview and hopefully the visa is issued in time so that we can travel back together - Possibly arriving in the USA on July 4th. How cool would that be?!?
