Congrats to all who were approved after the VSC-CSC transfer. But I get the sneaking suspicion that many of our cases were moved in order to give USCIS another 6 months to meet their deadline. Six months here. Six months there.

Is there a curse word that I can use that who accurately convey how I feel?

Same here. I am an April filer - Chicago sent my I-130 application to VSC then Nov 6th, they transferred it to CSC. My husband called USCIS and they said 180 days from the day it was transferred. I just felt it is extremely unfair because some June filers whose papers got moved from VSC to CSC has been approved already. I always check their system on Friday afternoons and Sunday afternoons although I checked today. That is because the online system gets update about twice a week. This is just based on my observation but don't lose hope. I am counting, too. It is just because VSC cannot handle that much paperwork anymore and they are trying to balance their workloads. What is so disgusting is that VSC keeps accepting cases when they already have bunch of unfinished ones and they thought of doing the transfer after 7 months of untouched I-130 cases. It would have been a lot better if they did the transfer 3 or 4 months ago, that way, applicants are not waiting on nothing and waste 3-4 months of waiting.

I am also a CSC transfer who has not been approved yet. I called USCIS a week ago and told them about my case being outside the processing timeline (6months @ CSC). They told me I need to wait 60 days from the date of transfer (Nov. 6), so by January 5th. Hopefully we will all be approved by the time the 60 day hits or we shoud all call and inquire about our cases. Hope this helps.

Lianne:

I try not to judge the speed of my case by the speed of others because there is no rhyme or reason to the approval process -- at least that I can discern. This is by far the most annoying process I've ever been through. I get up every morning and hope for the best -- but my hope collapses as soon as I log in and see nothing has changed. What do you expect from the another failed bureaucracy? That's my tax dollar at work.

be patient guys! most of you will be approved by the end of this month or sooner. someone mentioned that june filers were transferred and approved. that is not correct. not a single june NOA1 holder got approved or transferred according to the people reporting here on VJ. there was one person from july who i think is still awaiting approval.

Hello! I have a question to anyone who knows about "application got touched". What does it mean exactly? I checked my application online and I have not seen any changes. I just wonder what does it look like. My I-130 is still pending and nothing changed. Meanwhile, I am about to send my AOS, I-765 and I-131 package - I do have a J1 waiver pending before and the Department of State granted Favorable Recommendation so I am moving to the next step. It would just be a lot better if my I-130 has been approved already. I know of a friend who applied for I-130 in February and it was sent to CSC. She got the approval 2 months ago and she still has to get a J1 waiver. So, I don't think either that the pending j1 waiver has to do with I-130. ------I always give myself a reason to the still pending I-130.... Now, I am running out of excuse/reasons for the pending I-130...but I am not losing hope...I still got a little bit of it... I have in fact tried to not check the status every single day because I know it will just take that little bit of hope out of me. Hehehe! Thanks to whoever could answer my question.

Please follow the link --- lucky June filer and got transferred from VSC to CSC on November 12th and got approved on Dec 10th.

I just wonder --- does the nationality/country affect the speed of the I-130 approval? I came from a country with so much immigrants here in the USA.
