The Bus Ride Here -- An epic story I will never forget!

It started out with no one at the bus depot until 5 till the bus came. Everything was fine at first and then while we were on the road our driver got a call that a Candy Shop had burned down on Highway 2 and that the road was closed for clean up so we had to take a detour and go over another pass.

The driver got another call that a man was on the side of the road that missed the bus and asked if the driver could pick him up if he saw him waving his arms. I thought he was kidding and then we saw the man on the side of the road and the driver picked the man up.

We were riding around on the detour when someone asked if we could go to Seattle first or let them off so they could catch the transit bus and it would be faster than our schedules stops on the detour.

That's when the mutiny broke out. People were asking to be let off the bus and the driver was saying no way. Then the passenger that had flagged the driver down said if he lite a cigarette would he kick him off the bus to get him to stop. So they started lighting their cigarettes. This pissed a girl off and this started a verbally abusive argument between the two that caused the driver to pull over and kick the passenger off the bus. Passengers started getting off at stops that weren't theirs and arguing with the bus driver.

Things eventually settled down until the portion where the high speed chase broke out from Everette to Seattle. We saw this red SUV speed past us and I counted 23 cop cars following him and then two helicopters came and we were in the middle of it. Maggie's Dad called her and told her he saw our bus on the news.

It was the most interesting bus ride I have ever had. c:

Yes totally serious. I was text msging the girls play by play like when one cop car got a flat tire and we were all watching him saying oh how embarrassing you finally get a high speed chase and you have to change a flat tire. It all seemed like a movie but it was actually reality! lolz

And Henna took a pic for the high speed chase on TV so I could remember it. :P

07/28/11 USCIS cashed check

07/30/11 Recieved NOA1 and Biometrics letter

08/24/2011 Biometrics

08/25/2011 RFE sent to us for some info we've already sent in

08/30/2011 sent in the rest of info USCIS asked for

09/13/2011 went to congressman's office to sign papers for expedite of work permit, due to financial hardship

09/15/2011 Work permit expedite approved!! He can finally find a job!

09/24/2011 work permit arrives

09/26/2011 Apply for social security number!

09/30/2011 Letter is sent for interview

11/07/2011 INTERVIEW!!!

Its 2012 and still no approval! Still waiting

01/27/2012 Letter sent stating that file was sent on for more review :(

Hope you can make it Terrie. Some of the planning is still in the works, but looks like we will ride the Seattle Ducks and go in the Space Needle.

I made it home safe and sound sans snow ! I stopped in Mt. Vernon and had a nice visit w/ my brother and his wife :star: Just gettin ready for another MENA Monday...I want it to stay Sunday, cuz that's my fun day....

Olivia ~ I hope you have an uneventful trip home :wacko: try to stay outta trouble on da bus !!!!!!!!!

Where did you stay when you went there and who was all there?

What did you guys do?

I cant believe you had such excitement on your ride there Olivia :no:

Last time Rajaa and I kept the out of towners. This time I had too many for my house so I put some at a nearby hotel. the Mena girls hung out at my house most of the time.

Are you on any of our facebooks? We posted pics there of pretty much the entire weekend. This one was pretty low key compared to last Sept. But it was just a mini meet up. We are planning Seattle Duck Tour and Space Needle for the April one, and looking for a place to have dinner.

And for Olivia, her excitement continues. See today's thread. :blink:

Well I just maybe able to come to that meet if i'm still invited. I have it figured out where i can take the plane there and then to San Deigo and back to Milwaukee again for around 300 for the whole trip!! Insha allah, Kamal will not have a problem with it.
