Well, here I am giving an update on my letter I sent to USCIS-CSC.

They actually sent me a letter back in reply!

I was NOT expecting that, but at least now I know they don't just ignore us and do what they want!

So I got a letter back with an "serial number" assigned to the letter I sent for the correction I requested, and I am told in the letter to call CSC and inquire whether they matched up my correction to our case by referencing the "serial number".

So I will call CSC later today, but on the other hand, I am still going to contact NVC once we get our NOA2 to MAKE SURE that I got my correction processed, because the worst thing would be if our file went back to the wrong embassy.

So at least we know that the folks at CSC aren't just sitting there twiddling their thumbs! :star:

I called USCIS today about a change of address for me (beneficiary) that was posted into VSC over 3weeks ago, we hadn't had a touch.

I was told that we would receive a letter within 45days IF they married it upto the file...big IF.

However the lady advised me to call NVC as soon as I-797 received to amend the address then to be on the safe side.

Thanks for the reply...

Well I hope that I get my NOA2 before the 45 days. And I will also be calling NVC ASAP as soon as I get my NOA2. Will post back with an update!

Good luck to you with your address change too, hopefully they did match our corrections up, and NVC should be easy to talk to also.

Definately worth following it up with NVC regardless, even if it's just for your peace of mind.

I called NVC yesterday and USCIS hadn't managed to change the address but NVC sorted it for me.

Good luck

Keep us posted on how this works out. And yes, do follow up at the NVC stage.

  • 1 month later...

Ok guys, so here I am giving you all an update on how I got the embassy location corrected at USCIS-CSC.

We got our NOA2 last week, today I called NVC and they received our case, and...lo and behold! They have the CORRECT embassy location. CSC actually processed our correction!

I sent them a fax, a letter, and called in a service request, and spoke to an immigration officer 3 times in order to get my correction processed while our case was at CSC, and we are so relieved that they actually corrected it!

Praise be to God!
