Are you saying that the petitioner is a second wife(in addition to a current wife)? or that one or both are divorced? Its late and I dont understand the question lol

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Petitioner's First Marriage.

Beneficiary's Second Marriage after termination of first one (duly as per state's and religious rule).

I have not heard of being denied due to divorce! As long as it is legal and documented with the appropriate seal, it really shouldn't be an issue.

Or maybe I don't understand the question either - it IS late! LOL!

I also have never heard of a denial due to either party being divorced.

The only issue I have read recently is one that the spouse had kids and still had a connection with the kid's mother. I don't know if it was an issue with the consulate thinking that he still had a relationship with his ex wife or what. It seemed kind of strange. The most important thing is to show them that your current marriage is a bonafide one. They might ask the spouse about the other spouse's ex-spouse, but that is probably again to make sure they know the spouse's past, which one should if they are married. It would be the same as getting married in the US, you have to show proof of terminated marriages.

I (beneficiary) was divorced before (married and divorced in Ireland), and the USC petitioner was never married. There was only one question regarding this at the interview, namely if there were children from the first marriage (no), otherwise it didn't come up and we were approved no problem.
