Everything went really well today. The interview was at 10:30 this morning so we reached the location at 10:15. At 11:00 I was called in for the interview and was asked the following 6 questions: Which is the longest river in the US? Who is the speaker of the house? When was the declaration of independence adopted? How long do we elect the president? What is emancipation proclamation? What is bill of rights? I got them all right so I was asked to write a sentence "I live in the United States". After that I was asked if I wanted to take the oath today or wanted to come later. I wanted everything done today so took the oath for 2:00 pm today and was out by 3:15 pm. Glad that the final chapter with immigration went well.

Thanks everyone for the support. I hope doxATL gets her interview soon....I can only imagine the frustration. Another example of incompetent big government bureaucracy that is simply dysfunctional and yet so arrogant. It is beyond me to understand why people put so much faith in government to solve their problems when history has shown that government has always failed in addressing major issues.

Here is part of the letter “According to the FBI, they have a name check with the date of birth of 1965 instead of 1968 which still pending”. Here is the story regard my birth date, USCIS sent me RFE back in 2004 just before approving my green card indicating that they had two dates of birth in their record and asked me to send my birth certificate. I did send the birth certificate and told them the 1965 date was just a typo. USCIS approved my green card but with the wrong birth date (1965). I sent I-190 application to correct the date. I received the green card with the correct date (1968) in 2006. I am wondering how can I resolve this issue to clear my name check. Do you think I should contact USCIS or the FBI?

This is terrible. I would contact both. I think you should go to infopass, they seem to be more helpful than the 800#. At least you know now what the problem is.

Hmm... the good thing is that you know now what the problem is. The bad thing is that this is just really messed up. How come that they can't fix a typo which occured in their system and nowhere else? I don't know what to say and I don't have any advice. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this gets resolved soon and that you receive your interview letter.
