Just as I predicted, the issue is not the name check. I just spoke to USCIS deputy director who transferred me to somebody to take care of my case. The IO took my A# and case number and put me on hold for 5 min. She returned back and asked me if I had lived in different state before, I told her I lived in IL for a while. She stated although my N400 right now in the local office but that was not the case for my A-file which was still in IL when they scheduled my interview. I told her I have been told that my Name check was not cleared. She stated, no the name check is fine and I will be scheduled for interview very soon (within a week or two). Let us hope/pretend for now that statement is true

I don't even know what to make of this. I called the 800 # again today.

Though they told me about two weeks ago that my file had been transfered to my local office for an interview schedule, today the IO told me that my case is still at the benefit center; That, I need to wait at least 90 days from Feb 25th (date I was put in queue for interview) before an inquiry could be made on my behalf... :angry:

Now, I am wondering, what to believe...

Any suggestion?

Hmmmmm let me see - that someone at USCIS is over-worked and under-organized?

That would be my guess! lol

I feel so bad to have had such a relatively simple time when some of you guys are having so much trouble!

Well today I decided to call the 800 number again. This time I was transferred and spoke to a very friendly IO who said that my application was approved on March 27! So at least my theory that my file was buried under a mountain of paperwork never to be found again because of it having to sit for a week until my three year anniversary was wrong!!

The lady said that they forwarded my application for scheduling to attend an oath ceremony two days ago and that I should hear shortly. She said it is possible that I could be called at short notice to attend the ceremony next week or they may decide to just put me in the May ceremony to give me enough notice. Either way it shouldn't be long now so I have canceled my Friday InfoPass.

Obsessively, I called USCIS again this morning to see if an oath date had been scheduled for me. Not yet! :-(. My interview was on the March 20th, and my case was put on the waiting list on April 6th. The person I talked to this morning said I should receive something very soon. The next ceremony for San Francisco is on April 15th. Looks like I'll probably miss that one, and be scheduled for the the following on May 5th.

Approved!!! :dance::dance:

Interview should have been at 9:40am only got in at 11:00am was out by 11:10am.

IO asked for Passport, Green Card and Drivers License, then went through my N-400 double checking and clarifying all my questions.

He asked to look at my medical benefits card.

He asked me to read a sentence about congress and then write the answer to the question and I cannot remember what either was....sorry! lol

He then went on to ask my questions.

1. Who wrote the declaration of Independence.

2. What is the policitacl party of the president now

3. Name 3 of the 13 original states

4. Name one state that borders Mexico

5. What are the two major political parties in the United States

6. Who is the commander in Chief of the military.

He told me I was approved and would be receiving a letter in the mail for the Oath Ceremony.

All very civilized and straight forward....

Good luck to those who have yet to to theirs.
