New Administration and Affect on US Embassies

Hi, I'm just wondering what kinds of changes are expected with embassies and immigration procedures worldwide with a change in administration. I'm currently in the midst of the paperwork leading up to my fiance's interview so I'm dealing intimately with our offshore embassy. I'm curious if a new adminsistration means new personnel in various embassies? Does it work that way? I'm not sure....

Interesting question. I doubt it. My guess is there may be a change in who heads USCIS, DHS, and maybe new Ambassadors appointed for a few countries, but not in the staff that actually approves & denies visas.

What's an "offshore embassy". It there some country I don't know about that floats? All US Embassies are in other countries, by definition.

Yeah, you're right. I guess it wouldn't be called on an offshore embassy.....I'm in the offshoring business so I tend to get locked into that terminology. My fault....I meant embassy.

I wouldn't expect any changes in how Embassies or Consulates handle family immigration anytime soon.
