Well Iam now confused and now I feel I will get RFE because when I recieved my K3 package the US Embassy wrote in the with underlined line " VACINATIONs are not required for people applying for this Visa "

Now some said they had to have thier vaccinations done but the doctor herself is teh one who said that to me she said to me " you are applying for k3 " I said Yes she said " Oh I think I readsome where that K3 doesn't need vaccinations" then she said show me the letter you got from the embassy I showed to her and she saw it too and then she said to make sure call the embassy which I did and t5he woman who replied me said to me " the doctor is teh one who decide if you will need it or not "... then when I went to recieve my medicals there was another doctor and then he asked to see me and asked why I didn't have the vacciations " I said I am a k3 Visa " he siad do you have the mebassy letter " i said no I never know i would need it again but I assured him Iam a k3 then he signed his name and wrote that above my medical exmainations sheet that " Vaccinations are not required for this visa "

so what now? did anyone applying for K3 has this before ? did you have to have your Vaccinations in your medical?? or is it Cairo Embassy that's different????

Hi Salwa,

Vaccinations are not required to get the K3 visa, BUT they are definately required for AOS. It is generally easier to get them done in your homeland, than wait until you get to the USA.

I needed to have Tetanus & Diptheria & MMR. I did not need Varicella because they don't give that in the UK, and I've had chicken pox. All the other stuff was not age appropriate and I got a blanket waiver. I was given a vaccination document sheet DS-3025. I will need this for AOS, if I adjust within the year I will not have to pay for another medical, and I can use this document to prove I have the necessary vaccinations.

Don't worry, there is always a way around this. Since you have already had your medical, you can have the vaccinations done by your doctor, get them noted and signed on headed paper you will have to have them transferred onto the appropriate medical form by a panel Physician when you get to the US. I remember a few people asking on VJ where they could find them in their area.

Hope this helps........someone else may have a different solution?

I feel Good...........like the moon is shining just for me!
