Hello my fiancee was interviewed 8 weeks and 1 day from this date. Is there anyone can tell me how long does it take to receive her visa and by the way they called her about her expired NBI on Oct. 14, 2008. She mailed the new NBI on Oct. 16.

How would i know the position and sittuation of our papers if indeed went NSO or pass NSO already.

Based on people's timeline here in visajourney, visa is delivered 3-10 days after the interview, that is if she has submitted perfectly complete documents and the document verification was already sent by NSO to the US Embassy. Did the CO gave her a blue or white slip after her interview? What did the consul tell her?

You can call actually the US Embassy thru this number (02) 301-2000 then 8 for the operator. Ask the operator to transfer your call to the Immigration Visa Unit. If your another concern also about the Document Verification in NSO it really takes long which I am one of those still waiting for my visa. Copy the link below where you can check the estimate time waiting for the visa which has thieir visa already, there are names of are waiting, their date of interview, when the DV forward to US Embassy from NSO, Just read it and hope it helps to you :) I was interviewed Sept 09, 2008

I hate to sound negetive ; but get used to waiting. In two months my honey and I will have known each other for three years. -- her interview was finally in the beginning of Aug. -- We have followed thru with everything without flaw. Tomorrow the consulate officer will have have our approved visas in hand for 6 weeks. -- And the courier service lost our tracking #. But now that 6 weeks has past we can have the embassy contact the consulate tomorrow. -- We are still hoping she and her daughter will be here for christmas. -- And as far as I know expiration dates, for documentation do not matter once your visa is approved. Best of luck to you and all who undertake this jouney. --- oh and by the way; it costs a bit but it is very advisable too have a profesional preperation done for your application. Because small mistakes can set you back a long ways.
