Hi luckytxn, me and my wife were just talking about your news. I asked her when I got divorced, and she said, "I don't know." I answered that I don't know either, why would I want to remember that? What a stupid question. And my divorce was only 2 years ago.

Anyway, I hope you can get the issues resolved quickly. It sounds like you have a very sweet and intelligent woman waiting to be with you. Good luck.

Thanks Melrose. She is an awesome girl. I was surprised she was able to answer so many as some of the answers showed she actually listens to me when I talk. Very refreshing to say the least. There was no way for her to answer what was the biggest fish I ever caught. She just said she would have no idea as she had never been fishing with me yet. It came up when the lady asked her my hobbies and she said one of them was fishing. Strange question to ask.

I expected them to ask for the timeline and a list of relatives already and was expecting much more after all the horror stories here so I am happy that was all they wanted. She was just sad as she thought she messed up and she didn't. She did very well and I am proud of her. She was wishing for a Visa for Xmas.

It will all be ok and expect her to get the pink soon. Just need to know what hoops they want me to jump through and go and do it. Timelines is made and notarized and family info sent today. Thanks for the well wishes.

Hello Luckytxn,

Thanks much for the question list, it really helps as Hao and I get ready for our interview (still months away unfortunately).

One maybe dumb question...Can the interviewer verify the answers to all these questions? For instance do they know who you golf with? How do they know?

Its funny because a friend of mine recently married a Japanese woman and they asked her a bunch of questions at the interview that she answered more or less at random (Ex: "What's his favorite music" Elvis Prestly she said because it was the first name she though of) . He said he was sitting nearby and could hear her and it was all he could do to keep from laughing.

good luck!

cheers,

Tom

No, I don't think the interviewer knows the answer to everything they ask (how can they?) they just want to see how you will answer. Vietnamese people have a hard time admitting "I don't know" and will fumble around looking for an answer to every question which makes them look like they are lying. Sad but true. I have advised my fiancee if they ask something really impossible, (like when I bought my car) to simply say, I don't know. They aren't looking for right answers as much as looking for truth (in my opinion)

As Lillovebug said. They can't know who my best friend is as I never told them in any corespondence. Also she could have told them any size fish and they wouldn't have known but she would have been lying as I never told her the biggest fish I ever caught. (It was friggin huge) They are looking fro deception though and since I used to interview many applicants in my former life I can tell anyone here that the longer you get a liar to talk that the odds they will be found out to be a liar will come out. Also when I used to interview I looked for other signs such as eye contact and fidgetting. No one thing can tell a liar as anyone is nervous but overall one can get a feel.

Trang was told simply to tell the truth and answer as well as she can. If she does not know a answer to say so. Her and I have over this past year got to know each other well. I have talked at length about my whole life from a child till now. I have held nothing back ever. I have also gotten to know her well too. I even made sure she could say correctly the names of family and my company and on and on. She knew well the names as typed and a brief talk but I wanted her to be able to say the names correctly as well as she could in English.

Trang and I joke a lot on messenger and have fun but we do know that we have to get serious at times.
