Hey guys had my medical today at Medisys. Got there an hour early, since I didn't know where I was going, or where to park or anything else. So I went in and they started me right away. I registered, filled in a sheet of paper asking about previous illnesses, etc, the normal stuff and before I had it completed I was whisked off for my x-ray. Then I sat for about 45 minutes, then the doctor called me in. Very quick medical. Just asked me about my meds, and hospital visits. Then put me behind a curtain and told me to get undressed leaving on my undergarmets. Then he came back in, took my blood pressure, checked my throat and ears, listened to my lungs. Then I layed on the table and he listened to my heart, pressed on my stomach a few times, then he squeezed my ankles and that was it. Then I sat back out in the reception area and about 20 minutes later got called my the nurse for height, weight, quick eye test, and the blood work. Then I sat back out there again and about 10 minutes later, got called to the reception, paid then some cash and told I could pick it up in two business days. YEAH!! Consulate interview here I come!! FYI- parking in the Medisys building was only $5.00 for a close to 4 hours. I was impressed. Its not that far of a walk to the consulate so I think I will park there on Friday.

Yeay!!! One thing down for ya!!!! I admire your calmness...you seem to be enjoying all this LOL! I'm a basket case LOL!

But that's me...I stress over everything until it passes. What will you do this week? Hope you enjoy Montreal, it's a nice city...but you have to have a tolerence for the heavy French language..I find you also have the die hard Quebecer's that hate the rest of Canada haha! Hope ur stay is fun :) we'll see ya Friday!

I actually bought work with me. YUK! But its things I need to get finished up. I think I will go roaming today or tomorrow. I'm getting a cold so I would rather just stay in bed! I bought a GPS for myself at Christmas time, its paid for itself 10 times over on this trip. Those things are wonderful. No matter how many times I didn't make the turn it told me to, it still got me where I was going. Well for those that are there on Friday, see ya then!

OMG! What an awesome idea! I got a GPS for my birthday last year and didn't think of bringing it, because we'll be walking. But that's AWESOME! SOOOO glad you mentioned the GPS! Thanks, Wis-Can!

On another note... we'got a 9 hour train ride tomorrow to MTL, I think I'm doing thank you notes from the bridal showers. Oyyy... if I'm trapped in a box for 9 hours (as my fiance' says) I might as well be productive. He's worried about getting motion sickness, but I think he talks himself into the motion sickness, before we ever leave... like last night. Ugh. :bonk:

French from France and French from Que, are not the same LOL! I can pick up a QC accent over refined Euro French...I'm half French Canadian and even I'll admit the QC French is very hard sounding LOL!

I was with my future in-laws and fiance over the weekend in Montreal. We had a family get together on saturday and I was completely lost. My future mother in law told her mother about three times that I was an American and that I do not speak any French. She was too cute, still tried talking to me, fiance spent a few minutes translating for us :) I know about maybe 5 French words total.... lol

Ok, confused yet again :D

DS 156 question 30 asks about ever being granted a visa. On the sample form on VJ it states "no", even though it listed the sample as having been to the US preiovusly.

A B2 (Vistor's visa) IS a visa, so should we not list that???

What did you ladies put??

Thanks....

Leaving in TWO MORE DAYS!!! Unreal.

OH and an FYI: I called Dr.Seiden just to get a more confirmed answer on the x-ray situ. She said YEs, you have to bring the x ray and forms. NOt sure if we NEED it, but I guess as a Just In Case they tell people to bring it.

Ugh, one more thing to lug around!!! But I guess if we are bored we can always sit and compare chests together ;) HAHA

I listed yes, and wrote B2. They didn't have any problems with that answer. Some of my stamps didn't even say B2, but I still wrote B2. (most of them did). I also answered yes, B2 on my DS 160 (after I did the DS 156, I actually went back and re-did the DS 160 to ensure it was consistent because I didn't realize that I should've said yes, B2 initially on the DS 160.

Haha! Sorry I'm on my iPhone so I try to keep it short LOL! I was asking 'Hapycloud' cause their bio says Delaware...so was wondering if that's where they are moving...'PA' is Pennsylvannia (did I even spell that right? Lol')

I guess it's us having to get used to all the States LOL!
