Uh oh, I didn't print out a copy of the DS 160 form, but I have the confirmation receipt. Would this be a problem? Thanks!

It should be fine. Packet 3 says you only need to bring the confirmation to the interview.

You need to send the confirmation page for the 160 in with your P3. The form it self is submitted electronically, so no need to bring a copy with you as they already have it.

Sorry that's not true apparently. I just mailed in my Packet 3 today, and it specifically asks you to return the DS-160 application and the DS-160 confirmation. After you fill out the DS-160 online, it gives you the opportunity to print both. Not sure if it's a deal-breaker but that's what it asks for.

Hopefully it won't be a big deal, since it seems like a redundant step. But it the completed DS-160 application is now specified on the list of items to return with your Packet 3. Maybe you should e-mail the consulate about it.

So you didn't send the confirmation in? If not, I dont think it'll be a big deal - just bring it to the interview. Call the DOS at 202-663-1225 and see if they have received your P3 and if you've been cleared for an interview. If you've been cleared everything is OK.

SInce they're still processing us people with the old packet 3 and we have to bring the confirmation with us to the interview, I don't think it would be a problem.

Actually I haven't sent in yet. I'm waiting for Packet 3 but I have everything prepared to be sent same day.

I have the confirmation just not the application.

I have sent a question to MTL...still awaiting response.

Tina, my gut is 95%+ sure that you're going to be just fine They may not respond to you before you get the Packet 3 (looks like they are often taking over a week to respond to emails).. if they don't, don't wait, just send what you have. We just sent ours off today.. maybe we'll see you in Montreal! Chris

Oh well if you haven't sent anything to them don't worry. The first page of the P3 will say that you need to submit these forms:

DS-156

DS-156K

DS-160 (confirmation receipt)

DS-230 Part One

So, if the confirmation is all you have then don't worry cause that's all you need. I just send mine in last month and everything is cool
