I wonder how long it takes between entering into the system to sending packet 3...I saw in another person's timeline that it took 3 business days! And ours just got entered yesterday.

We did call DOS... but they basically said that montreal was backed up and the estimated time was 4 to 6 months after they receive package 3... The lady was very nice saying she realizes how frustrating it must be but to hang in there and call back whenever I wanted ..So I figure I will wait a couple of weeks and see if I get the interview letter in the mail, after all it will be 4 months of waiting in another 2 weeks..if I have no news I will call DOS again and write the MTL consulate again. That is about all one can do.. and pray... :innocent: It is definately frustrating to say the least especially when today I noticed another two couples got their interview date before us and they both sent their package 3 in mid august ... :(

keep us posted.. cause you're supposedly in line before me, and i want to know. Are you waiting for the letter, or are you calling?

It's great that you got an email response from montreal.

:0.

trail, yeah, feliway! i'll write a letter, it will at least make me feel better.

By the sounds of it, I should be hoping for a February interview instead of January if they're so backlogged.

Well, I hope they speed up near holidays.

Does anyone know the time interval between the time the interview letter is sent/received & the date of the interview?

Like if they mail you a letter in January, would your interview be that month? Or do they mail you the letter X amount months before the scheduled date?

I'm seeing a lot of P4 notices coming a month before the interview date.. but July09Bride said they found out by phone and it was 2.5 weeks before the interview! Now THAT is what is making things nerve-wracking for me, that somehow I'm going to find out last minute or after the fact...

Yeah, that bothers me (as I've mentioned and previously ranted....lol)(. I don't't even care anymore if my interview wasn't until January/February... as long as I KNEW. Not knowing until a month ahead of time is ridiculous!! It makes it impossible to work around.

I'm slowly coming to terms with it, but still really really irritated. I just want to know when I'll see my fiancé again... :( As I'm sure we all do...

Wow....

I don't know if short notice is a good thing or a bad thing:

Bad: not too much time for planning

Good: not too much time for severe nervousness of the upcoming day!

Short or long notice, I just hope something in January.

Good Luck Dome!!

Our packet 3 is now mailed in too. Add us to the waiting list for Montreal interviews! :(

Hi,

How did you find out when packet 3 was mailed? Thanks.

Tina

I think they mean when they mailed Packet 3 back to Montreal.

I just saw that they had a date of when Montreal sent out packet 3. It looks like it took 3 business days after the package from NVC got to Montreal, so I was just curious because everyone else says it takes 5 business days.

Originally I meant that we had gotten our packet 3 and mailed it back to them, so now we just have to wait for our interview date.

I called every few days to DOS asking info, like if they had received or sent papers. They were able to tell me the dates NVC sent the papers to Mtl, the day Mtl got the papers, the day Mtl mailed our packet 3 out, etc. According to them, it did take a short amount of time from them getting the papers to mail packet 3, but it still took about a week for the mail to get it to my fiance. I hope the packet 4/interview dates speed up for everyone!
