*are the immigration staff friendly?

*is LAX a good POE (based on personal experience if any..)

*i have 3 hours and 30 minutes until my flight to Atlanta from LAX, IS THAT ENOUGH TIME for immigration process/clearing?

*do i get my bag BEFORE i head for immigration (POE interview or something) or AFTER?

*do i need to check in my luggage AGAIN for my flight to Atlanta? my plane to LAX is PAL and my flight to ATL is delta.

*do i also need to check in my luggage again for my ATL-durham flight? i'll be flying delta to durham-raleigh airport.

*do i need to pay for excess baggage from LAX to ATL and durham since this is already a domestic flight? (considering the domestic flight baggage allowance..)

*what other things should i bear in mind too?

thanks for the input everybody!

Depends on who you'll get. So you cant really tell. Just be cautious with your answers and make sure it matches your records. *are the immigration staff friendly?

Hmm sorry mine is Detroit. *is LAX a good POE (based on personal experience if any..)

I think that should be enough if all went smoothly. Make sure you declare EVERYTHING, sealed or not - poultry, fruit and food products. *i have 3 hours and 30 minutes until my flight to Atlanta from LAX, IS THAT ENOUGH TIME for immigration process/clearing?

Nope. You get them after immigrations. *do i get my bag BEFORE i head for immigration (POE interview or something) or AFTER?

Yes. It will go thru another TFA check too. *do i need to check in my luggage AGAIN for my flight to Atlanta? my plane to LAX is PAL and my flight to ATL is delta.

Same airline? Prolly not, coz its just domestic. *do i also need to check in my luggage again for my ATL-durham flight? i'll be flying delta to durham-raleigh airport.

I dont think so. *do i need to pay for excess baggage from LAX to ATL and durham since this is already a domestic flight? (considering the domestic flight baggage allowance..)

Airport Security. Dont give them any reason to open and search your checked or carry on bags. Liquids and gel should be within the 100ml limit. No lighters and anything that resembles a weapon. *what other things should i bear in mind too?

ok. :) my fiance (my husband now) booked my flight and he prepared to booked directly to ATL so that i don't have to worry of the next flight... etc.

tips: when u go out the plane go directly to the immigration information desk and fall in line as fast as u can.

do not forget to bring ur I-94 form, it will be issued inside the plane.

it will take time before you will get cleared for ur next flight so better have extra time of waiting for the next flight than late.

the officers DON'T REALLY CARE IF YOU HAVE CONNECTING FLIGHTS OR WHAT...

WISH U ALL THE LUCK

Claudeth had a really good experience with LAX and it only took her about 45 minutes from deboarding the plane until she came out of the customs area.

Good luck
