WE WONNNNNN>>>>>YEahhhhH

:dance::dance::dance::thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

I can't go to sleep now, I am so excited! I have to see Obama's speech. I am so gonna cry when my alarm goes off in the morning.

There is no way I can go to sleep either! Heck I am crying now I am so happy! :crying::crying::crying:

Me too :crying::dance::crying::dance: but I didn't wanna tell ya'll and be the only one, lmao! This is a great day in history and for once I feel like my vote finally mattered. I have always been very involved with politics but it was like things never went towards my beliefs.

You aren't going to be the only one crying. This is a great day in history!!!! I feel the same way as you...The last 8 years have been very frustrating.

WHO IN THE DC AREA IS GOING TO VOLUNTEER TO PUT US UP SO WE CAN GO TO THE INAUGuration????? :whistle::thumbs:

Right Sol.....I wonder if we can get some volunteers?

I would LOVE to be there! Anyone? I'll sleep on the floor :innocent:

Well I am a Christian and I am not to be unequally yoked which wouuld mean being married to a non believer or someone of another faith so I try my best to stay away from this situation as I have learned from my past mistakes. It just makes for a lot of frustrartion and confusion much rather be with someone like minded on faith.

I am of the same opinion. I wouldn't pursue a serious relationship with someone that wasn't my religion to begin with. It can cause so many problems and like Sol said as a Christian it is pretty clear that you aren't suppose to marry someone who you are unequally yoked to. IMO it is so much easier to be with someone who shares the same belief, morals, faith, ways of worship etc. To each their own but for me personally I couldn't do it. It is hard enough to be of a different denomination let alone a different religion altogether.

I am so overwhelmed with emotion right now. I had the same feeling tonight I had when Evan was coming thru those airport doors. This is amazing to experience! I love this country!! and for the first time truly proud to be American!

Morning all!

I am way way too lazy to go back and quote all the posts this am, lol -

So, first off - I am so happy to hear JALove is doing better! I have been so worried - if the doctors did screw up, I would be quickly finding a good malpractice attorney!

Second - Yeah, Obama! I am so happy - Although I have to give it to McCain in his speech - he was very gracious, and did a good job with the heckler who booed Obama, telling him that Obama was his Pres. elect. Our polls closed at 8 pm - as long as you were in line by 8, you got to vote - they marked the line off at 8 pm by a police officer. I had a dr. appt and went to the gym then to vote - it was great to see - people were letting elderly people cut in front of them so that they didn't have to stand so long.

Third, on the religion thing - It doesn't matter to me - I guess I am just used to it - I grew up in a family where my Mom is Protestant, my Dad was Catholic - we were raised Protestant, but always given the option to go to Church with Dad, and probably choose if we had wanted to - My grandparents had the same, and my grandfather became Protestant - My sister and brother in law are the same as well, and my Brother in law has now joined our church. I think as long as you respect each other's beliefs it can work - It's interesting really, bc both my parents and grandparents had issues with relatives when they got married - people (including my grandparents) refused to go to the wedding bc they weren't getting married in the Catholic Church, or bc they were marrying outside their religion - It was a real point for me with my family - because I have the racial issue, and in a huge argument one day I threw it at my father about how did he like it when his father wouldn't recognize his marriage? He just stopped and shut up -

Finally, for this am's book, lol - DJ went to the eye specialist yesterday - he still has some blood spots in the back of his eye, but the dr. thinks he will get at least 95% of his vision back without surgery!

Fire de a Mus Mus tail, him tink a cool breeze
