Can anyone answer this for me for a friend of mine. What kind of lawyer is needed if the plumbing problems in the house are the fault of the initial installment when house was purchased 5 years ago. Plumbing seal around toilet has had to be fixed 3 times. Due to the damage, the dry wall is messed up. The Plumbing has been fixed due to much argument, but they refuse to fix the other damages.

Pretty much any general litigation lawyer could do it - I would look for a firm that does real estate and litigation. If it isn't a huge amount, it could also be done in small claims court, which wouldn't cost a ton -

The other option is to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Attorney General, whatever the licensing dept is, etc.... Or rather - send them a letter that if it is not resolved in 30 days, you will do all of the above - then do it.

Damien's adopted father died yesterday in Miami. No one knew he was sick until last week. His wife made him leave JA to see a specialist in Miami...they did surgery and he died on the operation table.....really sad. We were talking to family on the phone all night.

So sorry to hear!

Hey Manya,

That's a great idea.

Thanks everyone. The man is Damien's best friend's father. He made sure Damien had a roof over his head, food to eat, money in his pocket and roof over his head...a wonderful man. He owned several stores downtown Mobay in Baywest Centre. It was so unexpected....

Tell me once we have 2 year green card can you file for the next thing (removal of conditions I thinkg) when you are 6 months til expiration?

You can file Removing of Conditions 90 days before your green card expires and then naturalization you can file 90 days before the immigrant has been a permenant resident for 3 years (minus time spent outside of the US).

You don't have to apply for citizenship either. We're only doing it for employment purposes.

Good point. It isn't mandatory and you can file for it anytime after that intial timeframe. There isn't a mandatory filing date like with ROC.

We are doing naturalization for a number of different reasons but mainly to be done with USCIS and not worry about all this change of address/renew your greencard #######.

I don't know how they do it anymore - But People's court used to browse through actual court cases and contact the people to find out if they want to be on there - They pay for everything, including the settlement -
