Is anyone doing anything exciting this weekend?

Have you been to Home in the Ameristar? I am trying to find some place to go out to this weekend. I actually have a babysitter so I have to take full advantage of it.

Nope. Bottleneck Blues Bar. I love concerts there.

I'm working tomorrow. If Andre is off Sunday (we are currently arguing that point) we will go with the kids and do something fun.

I just don't see it as being any fun. It isn't like there is a physical appearance standard there - not all these hot bodies walking around or some porno. I always pictured going there and seeing people who look like my granny walking around nude and having sex in the pool NO THANKS

JG, yes ppl do what they want to with the hope of no regrets. But, when you in JA from JA lived it in JA and hear and see ALL the things tha happen and how some ppl will do anything hurt anyone to get here, u would say a different thing. Even I who knew kashi forever was like ok I knew he always loved me but we were young and now we're older is he tellin me all these nice things to come a farrin and trust it no help when ur frenz and some family a tell you be careful. Unless u like to purposely hurt urself u will be very cautious in anything u decide to pursue. To say if u get hurt oh well is to say u have not done everything you have to protect urself. We cannot ignore the possibility that someone is using you for anything.

No, you misunderstand me. I do protect myself along the way. That is the big girl part. Cautious yes. Scared no. I go with both my heart and my head.

The thing is, Kimmy, you cannot protect yourself 100% no matter what you do. Even if you think you know someone, people change along the way. It's a crapshoot no matter which route you take to get somewhere.

I just don't believe all the hype I hear about every Jamaican or every man. Even if 99 out of 100 are bad, am I supposed to punish the good one for the sins of the rest? I have never been much of a follower. I'll learn for myself almost every time.

Kimmy I understood what you were saying. My first husband I knew my entire childhood. We got married and stayed married 6 years. He changed eventhough I knew him my whole life I didn't KNOW HIM or maybe we didn't know ourselves I don't know all I know is it didn't work out and I got the old healed scars to prove it. I fully understand what you are saying about the visa fruad I had an old roommate that got into a marriage with a man who was using her for a visa but he was from the Dominican. I saw the flags in the beginning but she didn't. She didn't see cause she didn't want to see. He started off right off the back saying he loved her etc they got married within a month or 2 of knowing each other...all these were flags to me. I pray, and try to keep my eyes open and my head working and hopefully I will come out alright outside of that I don't know what else a person can do. I do think some people are beggin to be used with how naive they are but naive is not a name I have ever been called.

Don't remember how much of my prior story I shared on here - but here's a little bit -

My ex fiance was from Barbados - Long story short, back and forth, etc.... we filed, were approved, went down for the interview, visa granted - The day before I was to come home, things pointed to info that he was cheating - I confronted him, he lied, I knew it in my gut - I broke the engagement and walked - even with all that happened after and where my life went - He lied to me, cardinal sin, no way no how - gone -

What I don't understand are these women who blame the other woman in the cheating situation, go after the woman, will fight over the man, yet never blame the man for his actions - To me, the man is wrong - if you want him that bad, you better be prepared to keep him - Alison Hinds has a great new song about it, I have to find it -
